Your plan of action is good, some the tar spots on the car could be removed with some tar remover before claying to keep marking the paint down to a minimal. clay will remove them but a few of the thicker spots (if any) might marr the paint so just be gentle with no hard rubbing. Extra gloss...
Why should it be out the window? you have a budget as much as anybody else has. If you was to wash, clay, wash, SRP then EGP, why would it be wrong? If you think SRP is no longer suitable for your needs then dont add it into the detail. That was a little advice instead of polishing the full car...
I understand where your comming from JD, but everyone has their own views to products they use and still to this day i will say there is a some form of light sealant in SRP, but i did say to add a wax on top (EG protection). Using SRP correctly, multiple coats can be applied without the...
Hence why i stated that there is many other stages that can be used. Im basically telling him where he can apropriately use his product without wasting it and putting it to some form of use seen as though he wont be purchasing a da or rotary and going the full hog. Claying the car with his basic...
If your doing it by hand, i would just do the visible affected areas mate, unless you have a lot of time on your hands. Start with the least abrasive first (ultra fina se) and work your way up if it doesnt work to extra fine. Use an oval hand foam pad if possible and work it in circular motions...
I do use menzerna as ive used it since it came out but more often than not i use the 3m products inc their pads which correct a large range of paint finishes. Fact cut plus is a heavy grit (green bottle top=green pad) extra fine is medium grit (yellow bottle top= yellow pad) and then there is...
Grange body shop in rochdale do a superb job and are very well priced. I send all my customers there if i cant do anything past correction. Only slight problem is that there polishing skills arent excellent so a few swirls might need correcting (As i usually correct the work myself come the next...
oooof, thats a proper job on that vectra. Tbh Joe, rather than buy scratch x your best off either buying an all in one polish for an extra few quid for more and better product. Or buy 250mm handy size bottles of an extra fine and ultra fine polish and see how you get on with them, Lew
Very happy with my 200 with 6500 miles on the clock. 191 bhp, 159 at the wheels and 155ft/lb's. Not bad with just a filter id say. not far off quoted figures. As Daz said, think im gonna roll mine again soon and keep an eye on increases as she beds in properly. Im very tempted to go bk to RS...
Yes the wiring is plugged into the blank tweeter so tried a speaker to it and it worked. Rather than phone renault for a set that i think personally should be there, ive just ordered a set of my own as the renault ones are prob budget ones anyway.
i removed the pair of tweeters and de clipped them in no time, Unless the 200 ones have changed. Must have because ive got no tweeters in mine!!!! ahhhhh!!!!!!
Fancy doing that? They should have just left them out completely then. On that note i guess, suppose i can request a xmas pressie off the other half ;)
Easy enough mate, you either need longish nails or a very tiny flathead to pop the black cover from the dash. The tweeter will be on clips to the cover you pop off so no faffing around to do.
Hello to all, Please can any of you tell me if your tweeters work on the top of your dash? Thought i blew mine yesterday for some reason. Took both mine out to have a quick inspection and noticed they were only blanking ones with no tweeter in them!!! Tried hooking up a speaker to the wires that...
I had some 6000k for my fez that lasted for 3 years, sold my car and the other guy has had them in for nearly 2 now. My gf has got some in hers at the mo, roughly 2 years old. If you dont mind them being wing wong wang ones then these are belting. They are uk dispatch too. Dont take ages to...
Lmfao at that vid!!!!! Honestly Ibrench, the day u walked out of renault stockport i knew you would be back in and i DID TELL you :approve: The car had been hammered to death at 2000 miles, let alone what you ran up in it. Im just wondering how long it will be before your meg is in for a list of...
I have noticed that a few people have got an RS badge above the black bumper insert. Is this standard now or can you buy the megane rs badge and pop it there? I know the gordini version has one there.
