Ive put xenons in my 200 without taking the bumper off. i have the projector eyes in mine and the hid's are so good yet dont dazzle other drivers. It actually looks like they belong on the car. Looking at ur profile pic Rivers, you seem to have the projector eyes with the cornering lights. The...
I wouldnt say gutted as i have recently taken on a little too much work to handle so for me its a big bonus that i dont have to do mine quite so often. I guess its also a good thing that you dont have to keep stripping back as often as some products are a pain such as the aquartz ceramic...
Its awesome stuff mate. The bottle is small but when used with cotton pads, 2 drops will do a panel easy as its just like water. Had it on one side of the car for just over a month now with no change what so ever. The other side i used the wolf polish sealant and then the wolf body wrap sealant...
Put another coat of v7 on yesterday on top of the aquartz that was no longer beading and now sheeting quite poor. It rained over night so i had a look this morning. To my suprise there were beads there!!! Not tight ones but were big and shaped nicely. This could be down to it being on a ceramic...
Ill second domjolly's recommendation although i havent had a decat from them. I had my silencer removed from my 200 a few weeks bk along with its first service and they were superb. Also NWP are very competetive but dont need any haggling as their prices are cheap than most if not all.
Its down as a spray sealant but for the price i think the main factor of it is its boost in gloss over any wax or sealant but results on its own are very good too, although i believe it has good protection, durable properties. Id say it is very good value for money. I put it over the wolf body...
Hi guys, thought i would share with you a short story of a life achievement that i am over the moon about. A customer that i maintain a lot of his vehicles for decided to restore a flat red 1965 mustang back in Jan 2008. In total it took him 18 months to fully complete his build and was then...
The V7 seems pretty dam good if you ask me JD. sprayed sparingly, then after one wipe of spreading around the area it seemed to turn into an oily substance and then disappeared within 10 seconds. Folded the towel over and gave a quick buff. Effortless if you ask me mate. Result on my blue was...
I remember when i was buzzing about buying a sonus green ultra fine clay bar when they first came out. Had half day off work, rushed home and washed my bonnet. Was unwrapping the film off it and it fell onto the kerb! Went to grab it and i lost my balance for a split second which pushed it a...
I wudnt really use shampoo, all gloss enhanced washing products kill claybars imo. Synthetic detailing sprays are used for a reason!!! Dilution ratios are easier to use as you cant measure shampoo properley. Too much or too less can either give you a sloppy clay bar (going over the same area 3-4...
The PO203S ive found to be exellent used with my rotary but by hand, if found it a lot harder to brake down due to it being well lubed. Id say the 106FA was better for my needs. The cut is slightly less (ever so slightly) but the gloss is much higher and in your face. It depends how bad the...
Depends on how far you wanna go for things to be moving on. Its all about your budget. Hand application using SRP is still a popular choice among lots of people who want a good shine, hiding a few swirls yet for a small price. Glazes are now popular to make a perfect foundation for either a wax...
My brother in law bought a couple of 30cm x 60cm pieces last week. He done the section running from the handbrake to the front of gear stick area and even his door handle surrounds as a first timer and it looked spot on!!!, yet he has never done any vinyling in his life. A heat gun or hairdryer...
Or go inbetween? 3m Di-Noc is the dogs nuts. Had a play with this stuff and im deffo doing my roof in it! It is expensive but is better than black vinyl and looks better than fake carbon fibre. It is embossed with the same pattern as carbon but is matt black. This stuff has micro holes in it so...
I use the IronX and words cant explain how good this stuff is. Only downside is that some people may think its too expensive for the size bottle you get and you cant dilute it. Plus it reeks like one of those egg bombs in a glass capsule you used to buy when you was a kid. :D
The wolfs stuff im using is the shine and seal polish, the body wrap sealant and the nano wheel cleaner. Although the sealant is recommended to use on its own or after the shine and seal, i put 2 coats on top of the c-quartz ceramic kit and has been still beading 3 weeks on which i was impressed...
If a scrappers has the same replacement then you will be looking a few hundred easy as its the section that goes over down to meet the front pillar. Any garage will spank ur ass if quoting a new piece and respray, resulting in a grand easy. To get it pulled out/filled, ideally you would need to...
Never tried any of gtec correcting products but only tried 2 of the finishing products which were good. This would seem to fit your bill perfectly as it looks like a one step product. Only problem i can see is that it says its needs pushing even with a rotary polisher so i would expect it to be...
You have done a good job of the sanding from what i can see. What was the last grade of sand paper you used?. It looks like you have either not finished with 3000 grit or your not rubbing hard enough. The higher the grit you go, the easier to correct.
Ive known people to start with 800 grit, but as JD said, there should be no reason to start that low as 1500 grit should be sufficient enough to get rid of the defects. SRP wont correct the final finish by hand for the results your after, would take hours. A heavy cut compount is needed to even...
