A Good Polish etc.. for black clio ?Help

Super resin polish isnt very abrasive and its main use is to only fills swirls in. More than likely you will have a lot defects remaining that would only disappear with a proper machine polish.

What else would people suggest i could do with

To be very honest mate, you will get several different recommendations from people who like a certain product. Even professional detailers have likes and dislikes between them. Im getting to the £2500 mark now and i still buy, throw and sell stuff. I take every product as a learning curve as...

    I Want It To Sparkle

All mits, sponges, undies and whatever else you use can induce swirl markings. All about the washing method. On saying that, with 3 coats of blacklight and 4 coats of wolfs nano topped with a bit of wee V7, jetting once a week to near perfection leaves my mit indoors for at least 4 weeks at a...

    I Want It To Sparkle

Nothing wrong with personal preference and budget mate. We all have our own. I still know professionals who post on detailing world who use noodle mitts on 40k+ cars. Everyone has to start somewhere. You seem pretty clued up, yet it was only 8 months or so ago you was asking what a glaze...

How Long Does your rain repellent last?

G3 is a chemical weapon in my eyes. Recommends 3 coats on the front screen. I polished with g4 first, ipa, g3 and ipa again as the resudie is quite tough and horrible for the first coat. Couldnt be bothered so i only settled for a single coat. 5 months on, 3000k later and is still like day one...

    Un even covering of Laquer

Id just sand the part down where it feels rough mate, then give the sanded area a few mists, leave for an hr or so and then give the whole thing a quick go over (meaning a couple of foot distance) People tend to forget when using rattle cans, laquer comes out harder and faster than paint so a...

    Un even covering of Laquer

You can do but you might still feel the laquer run or see it when you have done another coat. Just sand the bit that you can feel with a very fine grit 2500 or 3000 grit and then spray over it again with laquer

    Ground in rust on wheels

Ive only ever seen this situation once. My mate had the same problem on his ST500 wheel which was also black. He didnt want to refurb 1 wheel as he thought it would have looked odd. This resorted to buying some iron X which is expensive stuff. 2 500ml bottles at 15-16 quid a pop seen a lot of it...

HELP - Paint: Gonna kill next door's cat >:(

Tbh, i cant see a cat making marks so wide in order to touch them up. There would be visible white marks from where theyve been but sometimes can be very fine but deep. If you ever see one on your car, dont scream at it to scare it off = cats will dig paws in to scarper!!! As for G3, its just a...

Mini - John Cooper Classic - Major Paint Correction

Very nice work mate. Shame about the drivers door. Bet it bugged you a little!! I maintain an old mini thats been restored but not a cooper, used to have a green engine but not sure on model. Such nice little cars with funny door catches etc.

    Removing stripes

If anything, the paint under the vinyl should be in better condition than the exposed paint. Only thing id check up on is that the stripes havent been laquered over from factory as ive seen a few on fiesta st's which leaves the outline of the stripe and can only be wetsanded out. I dont think...

A nice and cheap pressure washer with snow foam lance?

Ive had a cheap karcher that went after 14 months so it went straight in the bin due to it being a consealed unit. I then got a big ass karcher with 140 bar pressure i think, which lasted nearly 2 yrs and i wish i had taken an extended warranty as that died too. Ended up costing me a fair few...

HELP - Paint: Gonna kill next door's cat >:(

You could do with posting a few pics up mate, then the responses will be flying in. For a typical cat mark, i would try polishing to see what it rids of. If that doesnt work then i usually resort to wetsanding. If no luck here then its either a respray or buy a rattle can and have a go yourself...

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Re: What have you ordered? All depends what clay bar your using and i use it diluted which hasnt the same effect ;). If you only use a clay bar once as i do then you will prob not even see the effects. I know a lot of people who use shampoo which is reknown for recking them!!

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Re: What have you ordered? Why cant you use synthetic detailrs to clay? Synthetic has the highest lubricity out of all detailers. Plus it can be diluted and still be used as a clay lube. As a bit of a tip, when youve finished claying a panel, dont wipe over the area with a mf that is bone dry...

    Bump strips CF

Di-noc is very very good stuff, very flexible and good under heat to athough it is pricey but i guess you get what you pay for. It isnt carbon fibre but shares the same form of weave pattern on the vinyl which is embossed (grain feeling). It is black with a greyish tint look to it from different...

    Detailing in my spare time...

Obviously depends on paint condition but id use one for a single stage sitting for hollograms and light marks, or used on soft paints as polishing combo's can be very effective without removing to much paint/laquer. Using one on harder vag paints will only be able to settle for fine-medium...

    2BM ever forget?

At the moment mate yeah, ive started having a weekend on and off recently due to over using my rotary i think. I managed to get whats called a ganglian on my wrist joint and had to have it drained so my wrist has been a bit off. I dont do it full time at the moment due to the current climate...

    2BM ever forget?

Not forgetting 2 grit guards, otherwise the point of using 2 buckets would be pretty useless. On that note, i dont think they fit in b&q buckets.......
