If it was a newb starting out i wouldnt be having a go at flatting any scratches out, Just do a few passes with a polisher to disguise them a bit.
Once you get the hang of that and gain a bit of experience, Im not talking a couple of hours covering a car in hologrames either! Maybe then you...
and use a genuine fitting kit, the cheap ones are absolutly w**k, I had 2 in as many months before i got fed up and bought genuine, Which at the time was around £50 :o not there half that!

The sellers name was minihaffa, arrived quickly too and for a grade B used laptop its pretty much mint, I don't think he sells any old s**t! lol
Ive had my snap on almost a year now got it off my dealer, there's not a nut or bolt it hasn't managed to crack off, People rave about them and they are bloody awesome However if you aren't using it regular i'd go with a cheaper model as suggested. I don't think you'd get a 6850 for £200 either...
I got myself a refurbed dell d630, 2.2 core duo, 4gb ram, 120gb HDD blah blahwith the nvidia chip and tbh for £150 to my door its fecking awesome! Its a business lappy and seems to be very stable and build well
I wouldnt be driving around with nothing in it, you will loss your pads eventuslly, Id either wire wrap it or put a paperclip in it til you have the kit!
I'm trying to get a newer version of this to run on my laptop so i have a mobile version which works, unlike 3.5 which is on my desktop and a bit unreliable TBH I've had it a few years now i think!

Assuming its never been replaced £45 doesnt sound expensive when itl last 10 years as opposed to 2-3 years for a cheap one!
the part is dealer only anyway as spurious ones are too short!
The tool is £60, makes it a lot easier but isnt a nessecity, i reckon i couldve done it without the tool.
Genuine Renault Rears, pads arent an issue, use whatever cheap pads you can get hold of brembo / mintex / ferodo are fine, should be around £20 for rear pads, Ebays your best £107 delivered for genuine rear disks and Motrio pads!
Fronts go with Brembo HCs with either standard pads or an uprated...

Tweaked my linkage and filled it up with the elf NFJ earlier,
Its nice to get my car back right again, i can honestly say its amazing what a difference the right oil makes to them. Ive now got to get some miles on it, its off on a RR soon for mapping :o
I have the back of mine right down, and the front is about halfway up the strut, Its low but not as low as some and Itl allow me a good hoon around the countryside without scrubbing, that is unless it goes over a humped bridge too fast ;)
Its got a slight nose down stance, toes neutral with 1.5...
Im fairly sure i paid just short of £40,
I often wonder as loads of people replace these and the centre one, if they replace the other two on the backboxes at the same time. Theres 5 hangers all in
I'm only been anal over it because its a brand spankers box and dont want it crunching or leaking by the end of the year,
I don't know if it was a coincidence as i know some oils etc can play a bit of havoc with synchros and seals but my last box running the castrol started to leaking on the...
