Its interesting you've raised this thread, il be itb'ing mine next month all being well, The full engine works will be done when it decides it needs one
Is the speed rating lower than the others assuming they're still the factory fit! or higher? If its higher nothing you can do and its fine, if its lower technically your not road legal (mot) as you've got the incorrectly rated tyres fitted for the car!
had a clifford in mine 5 years running alongside the factory kit, has anti-hijack, blackjax or whatever its called, apart from me blowing the LED its never gave any problem
Whats it like when cold, Does it show any blue upon a few Revs? And once warm whats it like on the overrun from high revs same again any blue?
I suspect it will show something because 8l is an awful lot of oil to be consuming, Did the car come with any history?
Obvioudly dont go heating up the rubber boots,
but you can give them some real heat, tbh it shouldnt take a lot, i would be tempted once youve cracked them free to bin the ends off, clean and grease the threads and fit new ones for what they cost, afterall you dont want to go get it all lined...
Just out of interest Fred while we're on clutches mines going to be getting one too, would the price change with you if the customer was to supply a new box? I believe i've a leak on the casing the weekend will confirm, im hoping i can drive down at silly oclock in the morn, stay in a hotel and...
I suspect it'l have pulled the door where the hinge bolts on, I'd find it hard to believe it'l have pulled the Apost as its a structural part of the shell
Im in the same boat as you was, any idea on a part number?, Renault havent been able to find it, i mentioned the jb3/1 boxes and they couldnt pick anything up under them either
If its gone on the metal pipe personally id measure the diameter, cut the damaged section out and put a join in, as long as theres enough room around it you ahould be fine, if it was the high pressure id swap the lot, but not for the one thats gone on yours
Somethings either worn out or bent to get that much camber on standard suspension and no camber bolts, even if the toe was a long way out you wouldnt be able to achieve that!
When you say the fluid was low, was there any in the bottle neck? It should only have about 10mm in the neck and thats it, It shouldnt need topping up unless its got a leak somewhere!
I would probrably go to say it wont be long before the pump goes, assuming the aux belt is tight and turning...
I would only be fitting a high tensile bolt in its place 10.9 and above, Personally i would replace mine with one from the dealer if it was to shear off
