Going to be changing this in my new box, this weekend but I'm a bit baffled, I'm going to be using 75/80 like i always have done.
There's so many threads saying use this oil use that oil but they are dating back to beginning of last year and some oils no longer exist now!
Ive been previously...
No theres no play at all,
Just the threads look very clean almost like its blatantly obvious its never been in that position before! I was going to undo the linkage further up under the boot and wind those few threads in, Just hoping i'l be able to make my gearstick more central and i'l still...
Picked this up yesterday, Found it a bit s**t at first completely different league to COD, You run out on this you might as well put a big arrow above your head because you'l die.
You have to think, Plan and work out how your going to take you objective, I've had a few s**te squads on a few...
Just having a check over my car as to why the shifts are a bit naff at the gear lever end since having a box in Ive crawled under and dont remember seeing any gaps on the linkage in the pic you hopefully will see what i mean.
Its a bit hasty in getting some gears almost like the sticks slightly...
Im putting this up for one of my mates
Brilliant HU i have one in my clio as you can change the illumination to match the dash in mk2s as it lights up orange, full ipod use and usb too!
It is literally only about 4 month old and is pretty much mint, hes breaking the car he had it in and bought...
I just got a new one from Renault, 12 months on it! cost me £850 + £100 for a clutch, Looks nice, shame it cant be seen though lol.
The new box itself was like butter to change gear before it was fitted but at the gearstick now its w**k and notchy, Has improved over 100 miles but its far from...
Cant say mine get particularly noisy either, Occasional squeal while cold and just abouts to stop, But while slowing down i cant hear a thing, Its certainly not enough to drown out the radio or attract attention
They have been filed use the rattle shims and have the sticky pads on them too...
Just had a new (renault supplied) gearbox fitted into my 182 with a new clutch.
I expect the gears will probrably be a bit stiff for the first thousand miles or so?
I will add i can get every gear! From cold 1st is easy to get, 2nds rather stiff, 3rd has free'd off and now goes in smooth once...
I may come, been before it was rammed pfc did a few pics of it too. Have to make sure i've got MOT cause i dont think itl go through without a few quids on it this year, which i dont have til the monday :(
Providing both are SMI racks are they the same pipe for 182 & 172s? They lookvery similar
Ive eliminated 172 cup ones, ive seen they are nothing alike like.
You need to change the lights, the ones used in uk spec cars emit a defferent beam pattern, the adjustment motors you are looking at are just to set headlamps aim
If your 182 has xenons these adjustments will be wiped out when the car auto ldvels its lights next time round as it needs plugging...
As long as you cover the plug holes, ecu, fusebox and dont jetwash directly any sensors you should be fine. I have jetwashed mine a few times over the years and its been ok,
think what valetors do at dealerships! I used to blast 5-6 a day when i used to do it at main dealer and never had any...
