i get between 38-42 mpg in my 172 Cup going to work on a 15 mile trip. All single carriage roads following slow people bearing in mind lol

You better have deep pockets as Fuel costs are ridiculous and insurance. Be better off with a 172 time and time again. They handle better too

Not in my Bedroom but i do have Boot, Block, Cams, Gearbox, 1 OZ Alloy, Magnex Exhaust, Doors, Mirrors, Half Leather Interior, ECU, Driveshafts, Calipers, Headlights, Rear Lights, Spoiler and that all of a PH1 172 let alone other bits of cars over the years lol

Would anyone know where to get a new Valve from for a 172 Engine other than Renault and how much they would cost??

Im pretty sure that the valve hit the piston but we aint got head off yet so not completly sure tbh

It running on 3 anyhow we identified the Valve fucked so hopefully by Wednesday it will be all done!

My best mate is a Fully Trained Mechanic and has done 3 or 4 of these Cambelt Procedures on this Engine so we doing it this week and he said he ain't gonna charge me either which is a bonus.....Top Bloke as he is as long as i just give him a Helping Hand. Not sure what is caused by the problem...

Well after owning a Cliosport 172 (My first ever cliosport) after 3 miles it bent valve in the head! Yes after 3 miles! Hadnt even got out of Town Centre and went down to 3 cylinders. Took inlet off on side of road and spark plugs out and the first 1 was wet so hadnt burnt the fuel on that one...

What is the cause of running on 3 cylinders? Is it cause of a fuel injector not working? Also the car has stood up for 3 months with no use and had quater a tank of fuel and was wondering if the fuel has gone a bit stale or something. Just put a tank of v power in it to see if it helps.
