Yay, I just picked up new Koni's and Powerflex bush kit, so I will be under the car fitting it this weekend. I am a bit annoyed about the amount of damage to the paintwork though. I guess it will rust quick unless I cover it with something.

If you soak some solvent like white spirit into a rag and squeegee some down the back of the plate and leave for a bit then then that should soften the adhesive.

It is a pity the photos are not quite detailed enough to see if there is wear on the steering wheel or seats.

I voted for Proxies. They seem to be good all round performers and a lot cheaper than the exaltos. I run P-zero front and proxy at the back - but can't vote for combi's ;)

I think Renault sell the ring itself cheap. The problem is that fitting it requires either pulling out the whole driveshaft (and draining the gearbox) or breaking the CV joint in half. I think I was charged £90 to do this once.

Just dropping in to report a year on the mount is working fine with no visual signs of any deterioation. I'd recommend this as an uprating of the mount for non sport cars where the powerflex bushings are not availible. I'd have got better value out of it if I was more organised and used the...

Clio II Powerflex Inner ARB bush sizes come in 23mm or 25mm. I just measured the diameter of my ARB as 24.12mm. I dont know if his means I need 24mm bush or if the 23mm bush is designed to flex to fit. Is anybody able to confirm and help resolve my mismatch quandry? The car is a 1.6 16v (K4M)...

The bolts just arrived on my desk from Venom (Quick despatch!). They are M12 fitment model number 81250. For M14 fitment I think model 81260 is required. They come in an Eibach box but I think they are made by SPC (EZ Cam XR Cam Bolts). I will post back with how they fit on the car - it...

I just bought Koni STR.T shocks/springs for £280. I guess the springs are not as good as Eibach,but hopefully they do the job and the price is comparable to buying a set of separate shocks even if I end up swapping out the springs later.

I just bought the bolts from Venom as they did not state they were for the Sport models only :( However, I don't see anything wrong with drilling out the holes to 14mm. Or is this a bad idea?

Well, ahem.. it cost £40 posted, lol. Pity as I found several places selling it much cheaper in the states. However, I should still get value by using it for exhaust mounts, and the top transmission mount which I suspect is perished.

Sorry to hear that. When my first wheel bolt snapped I didnt try to remove the disk. I just kept drilling larger holes until the the bolt was gone and chased out the threads. So that is still possible.

Did you get it done? I just changed my front disks and it took nearly 5 hours. I hate rust! I kept the torx bolts but I used copperslip on them rather than threadlock.
