Maybe a dodgy converter or problem with the TFT itself?
I've used 2 different TFT's with a DVI to VGA converter without any problems. There aren't actually any settings needed to recognise the input.
Is this a brand new monitor? Could you try it on someone else's machine?

I have that same HoneyBee CP2, haven't actually managed to get it off the ground yet lol
Just when I get the confidence to try and take off, my batteries run out.. doh!
It only works automatically if you have the editor set to basic or standard for the forum you are using.
So for this forum, go to User CP -> Edit Options
Scroll to the bottom and make sure the drop down box (Message Editor Interface) is set to standard or basic.
