braided hoses will reduce play in your brakes as will correctly bleeding them. If there is a LOT of play then you either have an airlock / low brake fluid....bleeding will reduce this and fitting braided hoses will reduce it further... Braided hoses made the responsiveness of my brakes much...

yeh should be fine i would imagine... as long as it isnt leaking or dripping oil everywhere. If they fail you on it its relativly quick and easy to change to a breather or standard etc
