haha,(Cheers Fred) fair enough. But for the best possible power outputs & driveability should i get the map tweaked to suit once it is all fitted etc? i.e could i be missing out on a handfull of bhp and a teaspoon of torque if i dont? Cheers

sorry to revive an old thread, but if ones car had cams in already would these need to be mapped in conjunction with the throttle boddies? Or would the map in the plug and play kit suffice for the existing uprated cams and the throttle bodies??? Cheers

got reds on the fronts, loads better than standard. not tried anything else on my clio yet. not had to change them etc. (also had s.s lines at same time so this prob made them seem better than they would be on their own etc

loose / dirty connections Earth connection on mine caused that prob once.

think this might happen when the battery is fukd..or related electrical problem

so do you think this s causing my car to limit at 6k or something to do with sensor on gearbox?

when revs get to vtec ...i 'think' lack of charge / malfunctioning aux belt is causing the vtec soleniod to sulk...

could this be caused by a loose aux belt ? obv not desirable and will be rectified asap.

i got service light on but thats because i have removed front seats (airbag sensors) no other lights on display...

i have this exact problem with mine too. My aux belt came loose after a bolt disapered on the alternator bracket causing it to drop. which i 'think' maybe is causing a reduce charge from the alternator on vtec causing the vtec solenoid to get crankey and limit it. need to replace this bolt...
