Fords brochure figures are 5.7 for the large turbo and 5.9 for the small - I have both autocar tests somewhere and the small was faster but I filed them away somewhere safe LOL ie: I havent a clue where they are.
Well I think the superchips are mostly if not all plug in so the are easier to take out but I dont know the effects of this. All I have to go on was my last car but it was turbod. You coulndn just take the chip out as the fueling etc was set up specifically for it and a raised boost. On a N/A i...
I think youll fine the 0-60 on the Lux is better than the Large turbo quoted anywhere from 4.9 to 5.7 for the lux and 5.9 to 6.5 on the large turbo - loads of lag but great for big power unlike the lux;)
You should probably have 2 sections for the Escort Cosworth - one for the Large turbo model and one for the later small turbo Lux models. Looks good tho!:)
Depends on car and the power you want. In my Fiesta a stage 0 (165) superchip was fine for allowing the boost to be upped from 7psi {past the 10psi limit on the ECU} to 14psi - basically all it did was remove the boost limit - nowt else. Then got it set up on the rolling road. Went from 133bhp...
Yeah it was parked outside tescos front door so we had a good look. It was defo a Gti with a red I. Seemed lower than a normal one with bigger wheels. The wheels were VW but not normal Gti ones. He seemed a bit of a poser. Had a Burberry cap LOL.
My bosses mate usually takes his MK2 16V Turbo...
Got the Willie back today and the guys & gal at Renault were great - they had my car for 8 days checking the electrics and charged me NOTHING! I payed for a new starter 3 weeks ago and they felt this was the same job. They had the RTE on it during his spare time. He found 6 possible causes of...
Hi Alex, yeah I live in Drakies (Inverness).
Where about are you then, I have seen a white valver in Inverness?
I know there seems to be 4 or 5 off Fiesta Turbo.com (owned a few;))from the Highlands too but never met any yet.
BTW There is some kind of cruse on in Inverness soon if your...
I actually always liked the look of the early Scoobs before I knew what they were - back K & L reg when I was 15/16. I dont like the new ones at all - the front is now a lot nicer than the FUGLY was but the back is still rank. Only my opinion of course;)
I did this in my first car (XR2) many years ago - I tried a handbrake turn one night and got it way wrong and clattered the kerb!! 500miles later there was sparks and the tyres looked fine from the outside - you live and learn as they say.
I assume the RTE thats got the car has checked that although I will mention it!
I have also had my cousin metion to me that he bought the same stereo for his RX7 as I have and when he connected it the car wouldnt start. He says his has the standard sony plugs but he also found a seperate...
Yeah I like Evos but way too expensive. They seem to hold there prices very well!

Yeah but costs loads compared to a Cossie unfortunatly. I think they are starting to get more power cheaper from them but im no expert. Im think the cossie has a de-tuned engine as std unlike the scoob. Scoobs and more power seems to equal big bills - only the impression i get from scoobynet tho!
Prefer that Classic shape by miles - front and back end. They are also quicker for less money - running costs have kept me away so far! If I get too many more problems with the Willie I am considering either a Classic shape Jap import (Huge running costs but very capable) or a Saffire Cosworth...
Cheers Guys. Paul I live in Inverness mate or I certainly would take it to you. Thanks for the offer - If they still cannot fix it I might see you anyway.
Renault have checked the immobiliser is disconnected but they still cant find the problem. They have had it for four days now not...
Well it gets better!! When it broke down after they had supposedly fixed it I let them know. I told them I would tow it round after work - but they sent some guys round to collect it which was good! BUT the the fact they jump started it and got it going again instead of towing it means as the...
OK It died 3 times and 2 times I got it re-started over 1 hour later. The 3rd time I got the power back but nothing from the starter. I put it in to Renault and they said the starter was knackered - well fair enough but what about the other times - well they said that was it on its way out...
Well mine is nice - noisy but not as bad as most. Luvverly sound - I m now totally used to it and dont notice it. Other people do notice it - you can sit on the motorway with very little sound but you have to be at a certain speed - I drove the car about 350 miles home after buying it so ive had...
