Car booked in for a Major Service at Renault on Thursday in Inverness!
booked in at Star Performance in Fife for a Rolling Road on Friday so I can get a starting figure!
Then off to Glasgow - Hopefully get some RX7 AP22 times from my cousin and have a RX7 vs Williams race (I think we know...
I may get flamed for this but I find silver MK2 172S very un-noticable. I have been driving past a Black 172 and a Blue Cup everyday beside my work. It was only yesterday I realised that there is a Silver MK2 172 there aswell. I never actually realised it was a 172!
TBH my local dealer fitted a new part I didnt think my car needed - when the car died for the 3rd time (first time after the new part) they took the back car in and worked on it on and off for over a week - at no charge.
The fault was the car would suddenly die and not restart - the problem...
Right - cheers guys - the guy is good but I have had a prob with another car had never worked on before - it cost me more than it should.
I will book it in at renault tommorrow:)
I know this should be on Power etc... but I just wanted a quick response:)
I have booked my car into a non renault dealer for a Major service but
is a Williams harder to service than the average car?
Also is there any special tools need to do it?
I think it will be OK but its just some...
Hmm well Im covered on my one FC and all others TPT&T - so I used a second car TPF&T (not very often tho) so I would assume you would just tell the company what you want and they will give you a price!
TBH I have driven my mates old Saxo (VTR) a fair bit and really really enjoyed it. It had a shaper turn in than my Williams and the handling was very similar. That VTR was the main reason I didnt buy another Ford this time. I used to be astoninshed at how it cornered.
A VTS was on my list but...
The autocar valver test was 7.7 to 60 when new,
the re-test they got 7.4 and the car had more miles on it.
They also got 21.4 secs to 100
and a 30-70 of 7.1 secs
above with 9,000 miles on the clock!
