Well my A539s were better than my P6000s in the wet but the Toyos are great in the wet.
I think that my A539s were better than my Toyos in the dry but as they were on 2 different cars its hard to say for sure.
Maybe there was a fat barsteward in the valver when the weighed it? Nah according to Autocar from 1992 the valver is 1020kg - WTF that can be right either!
I have the autocar review for the 16v and when they got it first it did 0-60 in 7.7 secs - when they reviewed it against the RS1800 it had more miles on it and did 0-60 in 7.4 secs
I saw 3 Black CTRs on Sunday in Tescos car park within 20 meters - then I saw 1 silver, 1 red and another Black one in my 2 mile drive home!! They are almost as common as scoobies. The good thing is they wont hold there value "quite" as well if there are lots and lots of em!! And I quite fancy...

I agree with Ben - its depends on what you want - more fun or more practicality! Both are fun and practical to a point but each more on one than the other!
I got a 2 - doesnt make any difference to me - its got 29k on the clock and runs sweet. getting a 1 wont make much (if any) difference when you sell it - as someone said to me when I came on here first - dont worry about 1,2,3 just get the best one you can find:D

My 2 FRSTs had only minor things like track rod ends - never had an engine prob and one was running 15psi (double std). Both were bought as standard one woman owner cars tho - Mine was done by AVA in Glasgow who seem to know what they were doing. Buying a modded car is a lottery unfortunatly.
