Wouldn't it be a lot easier to get a new TV? If it has no scart sockets at all god knows how old it must be and considering how cheap decent second hand TV's are surely that's the easiest option?!?

It's a problem at Youtube's end. Loads of ISP's have been reporting caching problems with YT over the last fortnight so you're not alone.
