Update: Vinyled Diamonds, Smaller Aerial, Sub in Spare Wheel Well

... continuing on from the vinyl diamond idea, here's my idiot's guide on how I fitted some to mine: Nice... First of course I removed the diamond from the car. This was really easy and I didn't need any tools... I just pulled it off. Makes me wonder why it hasn't been nicked...

    How bad is your clio??

Bought my 172 with 35k on the clock for £3995 in February 2009. New belts, 36k service, lowering, K-tec filter, rear shocks, remap, MOT, personal plates, heater fan, reversing light switch... I've added another £1900 to the bill. Has it been worth it? Let's see. TBC...

MOT fail on 'legal' number plate

I wouldn't dream of fitting anything but bog standard plates to my vehicle. Think about it... it just gives the police a legit reason to pull you over because they don't like the look of your lowered suspension or whatever. Apart from which it's just chav to have displaced characters or...

    Flaps under 182 bumper

Would have thought there's already enough holes in a Clio that a couple more would be an utter waste of time LOL

cambelt, auxbelt & 36k service finally done!!

Good news. It's little things like that that make good marketing sense. I wish more Renault specialists did the same.

wot colour should i paint my calipers

IMHO... if the car & everything else on it is silver, then I'd leave them. Why introduce a new colour to a colour-coded car?

Renault charge for diagnosing a fault

It's a long story! I have had the fault for about a month now. First I had our company fitter have a look at it. He said he thought it was the resistor pack, despite me telling him the fan made a banging noise for a few days before it finally packed up. He also managed to blow the 30 amp...

Renault charge for diagnosing a fault

Took my car into a Renault dealer this morning to get the blower fixed. I already checked the resistor pack and that's OK. Before the fan stopped working it started to make knocking noises so I am pretty sure that's where the problem lay. With this information given to the garage, they said...

    My ordinary Clio 172

Welcome to CS! Buying a 172 (for me at least) has made me an addict. An addict of spending good money on something that that I never thought I'd really enjoy. It's given me back enthuiasm in motoring that for me has been lacking for over 20 years :) I hope you enjoy owning and driving your...

Newbie Looking For a 172 Cup!!

I think you will find an RS great fun to drive... I know I do. Not much to match the thrill of whipping around bends on a de-restricted B road - just what, IMHO, the car was made for. If it's cheap thrills and fun you are after, go for it!

    New Tyres on a 182

How do the Toyos wear? I have heard stories of them lasting only 10,000 kms? Interested because I need to replace mine soon and undecided between PE2's, F1's or Proxes.
