Spent 5 hrs waxing the 172 yesterday
Came out this morning to find some bird must have had a bad curry last night :dapprove:
... but, and here's the good bit...
It was sooooo easy to wipe it off with a damp cloth :D
I am pleased :approve:
I bought a short stubby one from Halfords a couple of days ago. Cost me £12.99.
Said it fitted, among others, a VW.
Well I had a VW and that used the same screw mount as my Clio... but this one was a much lager diameter thread.
Sold it to mate at work.
I doooo like stubby ones though.
Would have though coat hangers were too thick? Halfords do them... European set is what you need.
Using a proper set you can get a good purchase to extract the unit.
How do you guys encourage the unit forward using home made gear?
I always disable the ultrasonic sensors when parked at my office at Heathrow... or it's a dead cert to go off every two minutes!
Only annoying thing now is if I lock the car and open door again within 30 seconds the alarm sounds. Anyone know a workaround?
I just seen a notice on a lamp post outside my house. My local council are now turning off the street lights between midnight and 0500 hrs.
So... yet more vandalised wing mirrors to look forward to :dapprove:
Sorry, I digress. What exactly are 'running lights'? I still call side lights...
Insurance companies will generally refuse, or at least reduce the payout if they find out the vehicle isn't 'standard', and as declared to them when you took out your policy.
Consider if, in the unfortunate event, you have a serious accident on the way to the tip...
No rear seats fitted with...
I can't get myself to like 197/200 shapes, A/C or not! Bit like a 'proper' mini to the BMW mini, or an early Golf to a later one. Sometimes improvements just aren't.
+1
I am planning to fit 205's on my 172 soon and would be interested to hear of any problems. Haven't spotted any on here yet though, and by all accounts it appears to be a safe thing to do?
I am having a continual problem with the trim on the corners of the door pillars: the small bits between the black vertical and horizontal rubbers close to the windscreen. They keep working loose and I find myself clicking them back into position after almost every journey.
Anyone else have...
Greenlight.
They allowed my RS172 up to 180 bhp mods without additional cost. When I read out the spec they knew exactly what I were talking about first time too! ;)
(From my policy documents I think they are actually a broker).
I'm the wrong side of 50 and my three last policies no longer stated I could drive any other vehicle under third-party cover. I think this may be a thing of the past now.
What's the colour of the RS grille? Thinking of painting the front diamond to match. Is it anthracite, some sort of Ford grey, or just plain black? I know there's been quite a few threads about painting them but can't see reference to what's the best match. Thanks.
