Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Right ok iv got all that now, phase1 engine needed! where do I get an emulator and get it decoded?
Was I right in thinking that I only need a 172 top mount to get the engine mounted in? Other mounts are standard valver?
Then my only issue will be the...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Yeh why does it have to be a 172 engine other than the above? Also do you mean a phase 1? Phase 2 engine no good?
The cylinder is?
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Oh right, good news for me then! So basically I need to get hold of an engine and a 172 top mount and then it will all be in ready to be wired up etc? Also is there any problems hooking up the valver brake cyclinder etc or do you just need to plumb it to...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Foxy what hubs/shafts does this conversion need? I intend to carry out this F4R conversion this summer but I also want to fit my 4pot brembos which need the valver hub so I wasn't sure if I would be able to do both?
The guy is obviously a lazy/stupid c**t. I suggest you keep your eye out for a cheap 2nd hand cat so as that you dont have to go through the hassle of cutting and welding next MOT.
Not when you can see the hub nut and rusty plate at the back!
PM me a price please!
You mean original williams ones? Are you sure?
edit: Just rang renault, £68 for a set of 4 :dead:
I am in need of some centre caps for my williams wheels but don't care if they are not standard as the wheels are silver anyway! (and genuine 1's are not easy to come by for cheap!)
My old hybrid had a set of willy wheels with a non genuine center cap, was sort of a flat cap but had a renault...
T1r's do have soft side walls as i found out. But I find they have great grip in the dry, put a bit more pressure in them and see what you think about 100 miles
I once rang my insurance company and said, hi I would like to change my car and need a quote, to cut a long story short she said "yeh that will be an extra £51" so being quite shocked at this I questioned her and said are you saying that its £51 extra all in, i will pay no more. "yes sir" ...
My mechanic yesterday was telling me about some stuff I think it was called "stop oil" or something like that. Anyone have any idea about this and if it is advisable to use it?
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
I would really like to see the parts guide so please get that done asap! ;)
Also, have you managed to wire up the oil gauge pod to the f4r?
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
I really want to do an F4R conversion on my valver this summer. Is there a list somewhere of all the extra parts needed except obviously the engine in order to do the basic conversion?
