Progress wise I took and past my trailer test so now can legally tow
POA won't be road worthy from now :smilingimp:
Planning more hardcore. Headlight blanks etc may try and look at some aero improvements.
First of tho, I need to repair the alternator wiring and fit my genuine Renault...
Well! Not been very busy of late, I haven't seen the Clio since Mallory on the 19th of November.
On the 18th i was in the garage at 10pm swapping the near side drive shaft as it was pissing gearoil past the bearing on the shaft, and by the end of the day at Mallory the new one was aswell
Then...
Thanks mucka.
Cheers, it really is good fun. Even in the road
Thanks, yeah the PMS stuff is top notch.
Cheers, I won't add it up but I add up what else needs spending on it lol. It's well worth it just for the noise of it.
I went from standard to VT mounts to PMS mounts on about 4 weeks 😂
I love em no movement at all. A soon as you stamp the throttle it's off no twisting or the mounts taking up slack. They're harsh but on a pure track car it's fine. I use mine on the road tho
Easy enough to fit...
Little bit of work going in before track day at Mallory park on the 19th.
I've cut the door skins and loom out to save a bit of weight and reattached my carbon door cards. Hopefully that stop them rattling.
Also fitted my fuel rail and braided lines.
Got it booked in for tracking on...
:up:Thanks bud
I've got this oil catch can bolted to the bulk head. Vents through the cap.
Under the gold heat shield is a Puremotorsport breather plate and then aeroquip and braided hose link it together.
No real updates at the mo:down:🙈
Car hasn't moved since the trip out to Mallory. It's looking pretty sorry for its self at the mo.
I have been given a spare engine tho, big port ph1 engine.
Hadn't touched it till this week when I took it apart.
Only other thing is I...
I messaged and emailed Dan twice about mapping. Got no reply... :confounded:
I'm sure I read 197 cams give more power and do nothing for torque too.
Efi I'd defo recommend, top top work with no big headed ego.
@Darryl_1983 get a picture of your graph and upload it here, I'll compare it to...
For track, hard thrashing abuse I'd go GrpN!
Drivability if really good. Scoff at EFi was really shocked at the torque mine had with this setup. It really does just pick up and go from very low down and keep pulling.
Scoff said if I wanted more power he could make any cams even 421s work on...
I'm gunna order a fuel pot setup for my ph2. I'm also going to order the new KTR billet fuel rail.
Will I need a ph1 fuel set up? I'd swap to the ph1 fuel rail but the RS2 inlet doesn't have the vacuum take off for the FPR.
Anyone else run one or have pictures of a set up?
What do you think to the torques swirl pot/pump/filter combo?
Looking at getting one too, I was worried about the flow of fuel from the pump to filter with the torques link bar.
