I suggest that one key turns in the ignition, but the car wont start. I think the chip in the key could be missing, or you only have half the key

Yup, i was in the chippy. Gf's family live on the council estate there somewhere. Just off talbot road, thats where you can find it normally parked sometime. Gf lives just off the nunsthorpe, so not too a bad area i think. Never normally about the area as i live south of horncastle...

Get a price from another dealer, and get them too price match.. I expect no more than £130 for oil and filter change and a look round the car.. Think its Air filter Pollen Filter Oil Filter Oil Washer Fluid New sump washer Dispose of old oil Then a general look about the car...

Think the lowest ive seen is about 26mpg, highest about 40mph doing a constant 60mph.. Usual about 32-34mpg sitting on motorway @80. Drop that onto a windy A/B road then its down to 28mpg.. and even less 100mph +

So your letting your mum buy a 182 whilst you have a lower spec clio, and i guess you wont swap the cars and you have the 182, but secretly leave it in her name, her insurance etc whilst you drive it about.. I think im still right............ :)

Id buy a 197. After time i think i would not notice the difference, and i would rarely come across a 182 / 172 to put it against..

also, you will always be moaning about how it eats fuel and you should of bought a diesel..

12k service was about £130 36k service inc belt was £200 Im on 43,000miles in the 182 now.. :)

What model clio, age.. Id check the brake fluid first off...prob down close to lower level. If it is, maybe close down to lower limit on pads or disks.

Depends how often you reset the mileage thingy, it works out the mpg over the mileage recorded in the computer, not actual true mpg..
