Should have an update in 2012, I mean new IvyBridge based CPU's and new ATI 7000 series GPU's are due in the next few months.
There is also the rumour of a new design for the MBP, which would fit with their cycle for the MBP's. It is due a design change now.
Ok, since there are a few more with custom exhausts on here. Rather than the C4 site,as you can probably imagine, I am asking for some help.
My original exhaust is pretty much..screwed to put it simply. So I need a new one, here the problem lies. There are absolutely no off the shelf exhausts...
What about going for a big internal drive say something around 1TB, and then run a 256GB SSD in the optical bay. Then put the optical bay in an external chassis.
Also 17" FTW, it's not that big in my opinion.
I think the problem is a lot of the reviews were done when it was full of bugs. The game is all right though, it's not the best game ever. However ID have always been more about show casing their engines in games rather than making the best story driven game around. It's still an enjoyable...
Used to love playing this in the arcade when I was a kid.
Saw it the other day when I was out as well as the original Sega rally. Myself and a few mates ended up sticking a fair few quid into them.
So definitely recommend getting a 120hz monitor then?
Thinking of picking up three BenQ XL2420TX's when they surface. 3D Vision 2 and have the transmitter built + glasses etc are included so seems like a good idea. Can only run 24" max with the 3 of them, simply don't have enough desk space for...
Wonder if they will implement K&M support on the consoles. I mean they both already support them in some ways. Wouldn't take much to program them into the game.
Otherwise it is just going to be an arse kicking and the console guys will just end up getting huge amounts of aim assistance.
If you have the adaptors etc anyone could do it. Takes about 10 minutes to put a headunit in. The adaptors do all the work for you.
Literally remove headunit, plug adaptor into the stock wiring. Fit cage, Plug adaptors and aerial cable into headunit, push headunit into cage. It literally is...
IPS are fine for gaming to be honest provided you get a decent one, same applies to TN panels. While they might advertise the 2ms response times, in all honesty you really need to see the monitor in motion as the response times on paper mean bugger all.
Seen 2ms TN panels ghost far worse than...
Not got any tearing at all with my 5870's now. Works perfectly, they added V sync in an update which sorted that. Textures, never had much of an issue with them anyway personally and I made it load the highest res ones through tweaking. 8k ones have to be enabled.
Basically what the winter grille does on the C4. Makes a big difference to MPG though, Talking upwards of 10mpg difference in some cases. Which over a few months adds up to a fair chunk of fuel.
Been looking to go triple monitor myself. Should be able to sort it around Christmas.
Just trying to decide on monitors now. Think I am going to go back to Nvidia cards, too many issues with the ATI drivers. So think a 600 Series card when they are released is what will be getting purchased. It...
I wouldn't spend full price on it. But out the bargain bin...it's worth a go.
Mainly because if you don't do the side missions, you can probably get through it in around 6 hours.
It is a classic shooter. Very linear in parts, lots of enemies in other parts that just swarm at you etc.
I quite enjoyed it though. Worth a go and it can be picked up cheap now. Retail copy is the one to pick up, it's a steam game still. Just works out at around £12 on PC I think. Versus the...
I already have a 680i SLI board, I need I think it is an intel one or an ATI board. No idea what chipsets the ATI's used back then.
I think Intel used X48 and a couple others.
I always had Nvidia hardware then so not really sure without doing loads of research into it. Problem I had was the...
Ok guys I am after finding a s775 motherboard with crossfire support.
Obviously with it being older tech it's quite difficult to get hold of one. So anyone know any place that might sell them? The big companies obviously don't stock hardware that old, but no idea what other places are decent...
You have to be careful with these amp wiring kits.
Especially cheaper ones as they might say they are a certain gauge but most of the time they are under what they say they are. Although a couple are actually very good, just have to check them carefully. Seen 4AWG kits that in reality were...
I think the problem is it depends on the person playing the game and the settings they are using.
Don't think any of us will agree on specifications as different people want and need different things.
I can say that buying a system now is a bad idea though. New intel CPU's are due any day...
Go on tell me why? Why would you spec a dual core i3 for a gaming machine. Especially when more modern games easily take advantage of 4 cores. Crysis, Crysis 2, civilisation, rage, skyrim they all run better on a quad core. Anyone saying to use a dual core for gaming now is just being silly...
