Hi there and welcome.
The hand book says take it gentle for the first 650miles........then kane it:o .
There has been many opinions on this and the general rule is thrash it straight out of the box. It appears those that have, seem to develope more power and come on earlier.
If you are...
Cost to weight ratio. Try the K-tec one...no weight there just a straight through pipe;) sounds mint too.
Its got to be stainless every time. So how much do you save ?:? 4lbs??
Only if you tell them. :devilish: :devilish:
Nothings "visable" and if there is a massive engine failure you can always get the original downloaded again. Superchips offer a guarantee anyway and if Renault say "this" has failed due to the remap then Superchips step into the rescue. At least...

Just had the K-tec twin 3" exhaust fitted....and it sounds mental!!:o
The wife said it was rattling the plates in the kitchen cupboard when I put the car in the garage. It is very!!! loud and rumbley (?). Think I might have to find out how much the centre box is as the wife is not happy.

Do it yourself. It really is very easy. It may take a while but worth it in the end.
Go to Halfords and browse through the Haynes Max Power ICE Modifying book and get loads of tips on how to do it....I did...check my install in the gallery.
Geoff
So the Lotus is put to the back of the que?? At least the V6 has a rather large parcel shelf ;)
Do you know Arjuns and Jamies power figures.? Hopefully after the remap I should be getting towards the 180 mark. Still cannot get over Marks 167 tho. Im hoping Roamers wasnt up there to...
Roamer...Your comination of mods, IE Viper and zorst & remap...dare I say...<flame suit on>achieved more power output than the Renault God Nick <flame suit off>and for that I bow to you ;)
I think Ill let you get on with the throttle bodies. Its going to cost big bucks I bet. I...
Look very pricey, especially trimmed, although they look a very nice colour already!!
I now what you mean about the seats. You do tend to wallow about a bit when youre pushing it. I previously had Recaros which were very snug and induced even more confidence to throw it about!!
If you havent had it chipped the rev limiter is set at 7250. Must have been a very long straight road.
Know someone who claimed they were doing 145 and the guy following said he was doing 135 so there is some correction needed for speedo errors.
But top marks for trying!!!!!
Fitted mine yesterday too...does make a difference. Get it checked on a rolling road for co2 output, as it will give you lean fueling @WOT (wide open throttle) and can cause damage due to detonation. If you are interested I am getting mine remapped....a sort of stealth chip...which will sort...

There is not much to tune on modern engines nowadays as the ECU takes care of everything. The only way you will benefit is to have it remapped and if you have an induction kit fitted you will need it as all of them give lean fueling and you will cause damage to your engine. I am getting mine...
Roamer
The first bend is quite tight and very close to the rad. but shouldnt be a problem. I bypassed the actuator pipe altogether but had to move it to get the new air feed pipe through. Didnt want to disconnect it in case it messed with the ECU, i think it might be something to do with...
The Viper is now fitted, only had it for 4 months!!! Yes Geoff...Ive fitted it. Honest!!. Sounds good when its pushed. The K-tec exhaust goes on Thursday and then will have to get it remapped ASAP. Ive run the pipe down to the front grill as BenR has with the RS-R
Question for...

This is where Roamer had his done and that was how the final cost adds up. London Superchips are in the same building as Power Engineering and they use their rollers.
There appears to be a few people interested in chipping their Clios and I was wondering if we could get a Cliosport thing going with a group remap of the ECU. With a few of us having it done at the same time I am sure there would be significant discounts available.
I rang the guys at London...
If you go for a physical chip then it would have the map of the car it was developed on. Your setup will be different, even the engine will be different, we all know that if you wear Addidas size 7s they need to be 8s in Nikes..LOL! so BBs and K-tecs chip would be different for their own...
