Hiya guys,
Recently bought a Type-R aerial for my car, so, went to go fit it, and i had an issue with the thread for the aerial, it was seized in the base unit.
Got some mull grips on it today to get it off, and it looks like i've taken more than just the thread out of the base unit, i've...
haha, the location is good, just not at this type of year, its absolutely awful when it rains or is cold.
I'm trying to convince neighbours etc to get it tarmaced, i dont think its fair as i'm the one that uses the space all the time :D haha
erm....i think it was yea, the paintwork is very smooth now, i bought the megauirs clay kit, you get 2 bars of clay, a bottle of quick detailers, a buffing cloth and a 4oz bottle of megauirs polish, was about 20 quid.
Definitely makes it shinier than a normal polish would, i think, but i've...
Gave it a wash, clay and polish this morning, no real updates on it, hardly had anything done.
New number plates, new sidelights and fog lights, rear number plate bulb, sprayed the front renault badge black, yer, thats it lol.
Be brutal.. I was a claying virgin until this morning :approve:
Recently took mine off to spray, however, it seems that the previous owner had bumped the car, or had the badge off previously, so i tried to araldite the badge back on.
Thought that was the end of it, but came to wash the car today and it came off when i brushed the sponge against it...
please dont tell me that black wire running across the boot is for the earth? lol
if it is, remove it, theres an earth directly along the back seats, undo the big bolt and use that as your earthing point, and as everyone else has said, that first wiring picture is awful! lol, the clio is...
I've got some xenon sidelights, they merge in with the main beam so well, rather than having yellow and white mixing together,
definitely worth buying for the money
i'm guessing its on a taper?
I had a go today, but got wound up by it and had to leave it before i got angry
Its been soaked in WD, so i'll give it another go later on
thats just dangerous:(, and looks bodgetastic.
like everyones said, theres a gromit, might take some finding, but much better to find it than drilling a hole somewhere!
personally, like the back of it - if you had the standard lights, and only had the 1 exhaust, the left exhaust looks slightly lob-sided compared to the right.
I like the plates, and front of the car - except the bonnet.
And really not a fan of the NOS - but thats personal opinion.
Other...
yep, i did my calipers yellow as well on my old clio.
Personally i think yellow calipers are the best looking, i'm contemplating doing mine in yellow at some point
its black,
i'm new to all this detailing lark, i'd love to get into it, but with my car being pride and joy, i want to be quite clued up before I even start :D
I'm after properly detailing my car one weekend, however, i'm a bit of a newbie to all this proper washing!!
At the minute, I just hand wash the car every weekend, and give it a polish every now and then.
I think after xmas, i'm going to completely gut it, and go the whole hog
But, can...
