You can get replacement d2s bulbs on ebay for ALOT less , ive been running them for about 4 months now with no problems at all

Refurb alloys , spray splitter , respray door handles , im thinking about splitting the lights aswell and painting the inner part and then smooth rear bumper and lower it abit more so ive got quite abit really but ye your right painting can get expensive , even diy can get expensive

Mine wasnt to bad when i first got it but its slowly got lower

I got sick of mine and took it out i missed the boot space lol , and ye getting things looking good are more important im on with sorting a few bits at the minute alloys being the main bit

If you really want a sub and you dont need the boot space id just put it in the boot as it is , nice and simple lol

Thanks for the reply , its been an ongoing thing , its basically a project car and its been the same since i got it , theres no popping etc that you would expect from a misfire , if you press the accelerator lightly it will pick up speed but its when you try and drive it normally it just wont go

The vibe subs are good imo i had one of the original cbr active ones and it was spot on

Srs = serious , but really surely something subtle would be better , sub in spare wheel well with a false floor etc

Best place is probably ebay i was on there yesterday and there were a good few engines for around that price

Hi basically its as the title reads if you try and accelerate it just doesnt move and then after a while it will accelerate but not very well and kangaroo , it feels like its been starved of fuel its fine though in nuetral when not under load any help would be great thanks

I would touch them up leave for a while and then machine polish to try and blend them in maybe not the best way to do it but should work ok

Im sure they will fit fine im sure the stud pattern is the same and as for the speedo the change in wheels should not make any massive changed

I totally agree with you about the 1.4 engine, mine is a manual but the fuel consumption is rubbish

My mk3 is rubbish on fuel , i wish id of bought a dci

Even the smaller engined cars do it , my 1.4 does it when i cold, i never had any problems so just accepted it as normal lol

17" are just the right size imo mine are fitted with 205/40/17 and fill the arches nicely i remember buying some 15" i didnt even get the car off the jacks before i removed them because they looked silly il post a pic if you want to see

ive never had any problems with wiring an rca from speakers , i found the worst quality when using the high level input straight from the speakers

Imo 15" alloys look far to small , the arches are massive i have 17" at the minute with a 35mm drop and it looks ok but im still not happy so i think im going lower , i have been informed the mk2 coilovers dont fit so theres no cheap option really

Hi right i no on the mk2s there is a test you can do on the dash with basic code readout etc, i have actually had my car do it previously but by accident and i have never been able to do it again does anyone have any info on this ? Cheers

Just a heads up running anything from the engine to the interior is a real pain on these cars , the only way i found was a big rubber grommet were all the wires pass through on the passenger side
