I'm wondering if the tech bods can answer this scenario for me?
Car A - Standard 182, fed a tankful of 95RON petrol once a week for say, 6 months. ECU mapped to 98RON.
Car B - Standard 182, fed a tankful of 98RON petrol once a week for say, 6 months. ECU mapped to 98RON.
All other factors...
Spotted it pulling out of a junction near Bury. Had anthracite/dark alloys on it - nicely squeezed under the arches.
Think it was a bloke driving, but I was quite a few cars back - in traffic. Looked awesome!
D.
Just let onto you when you were sat at the traffic lights, waiting to pull out. Didn't catch the reg, but there's not many of those around 'ere!
D.
Didn't think you headed up these 'ere parts? Too far North! ;)
Just been to Asda at Pilsworth - that traffic's a joke. It will be a long time before I go there after work again!
D.
Right.
Being as calm and sedate as I can about the subject, I'd like to ask some generalisations about how a car insurance premium is calculated. I would appreciate any feedback from those people who work within the industry to add some comments on here. After all, we fork out shedloads of cash...
Goddamit - car insurance is just a friggin' joke. We've just spent the past couple of hours trying to find a relatively cheap insurance quote for Jain on her Vee and are literally going around in circles.
Clearly (as has been said a million times before) the age of the driver, the mileage...
It doesn't take an Einstein to realise that the same team (Relic & THQ, iirc) who made WH40K Dawn of War, have made Company of Heroes.
I've only had a quick go of the tutorials so far, but initial impressions are very good indeed. It's based on a WW2 setting, but the capture of command points...
Been about for a bit now and it looks like Asus do one, circa £150 notes. Clearly, the PC game has to support PhysX first, but potentially, I can see the benefit of one.
Something that Roy will be buying at some stage, no doubt! ;)

Reg started M66 - heading into Bury. I was two cars back and had some dawdling fool in front, so I couldn't see much else. Looked very tidy and clean from the glimpses of the rear that I did manage to see! :approve:
Anyone?

Ok, I maybe missing something completely obvious, but does the nVidia Control Centre have any gamma, contrast and brightness options for Direct3D apps only?
On the ATi Catalyst Centre, there was a Desktop and a D3D option. It worked great, allowing the graphics brightness to be increased upon...
Not tried it online yet, but it's worth it for the new Road to Jalalabad map, alone. A good, closed-in urban map.
Here's the patch contents if you haven't seen them...
1.4 Patch – New content
New level: Road to Jalalabad (Conquest 16-32-64, Singleplayer, Co-op)
New Server Option: No...
What games have you seen all the way through to the end and genuinely thought "that was great!" ?
Beach Head (circa 1984!!!) was one of mine as was beating the other civilisations to the space race in Civ 2. I was also glad to see the end of HL2, even though I thought the ending was a bit...
Can you guys point out where I need to go? I've just completed the bit where you team-up with the guy who blows up the Strogg air-base and now I'm onto the anti-aircraft cannon bit. Apparently, I'm supposed to find a way to unlock the door near the base of the turret, but I don't know where to...
Spotted it parked in the main carpark at the HOOGE O2 building as we drove past. Was on our way down to Soughton Hall for a wedding reception and the weather actually turned good for once! :D

Well, since buying my 182 from new in December 2004, I broke the 20,000 mile barrier today. The car itself has been faultless. It's not used a drop of oil, it's mpg is slowly but surely increasing and it still puts a smile on my face when I give it some beans.
Minor niggles include a few...

Good clip. The Lotus clearly gets battered on the straights, but look how long the braking is left, going into the corners. Nearly (very nearly) comes into contact with the rear quarter of an F40. I'm sure the owner would have...
Has anyone used this O/S for gaming? I know on paper that 99.9% of games are 32-bit apps anyway, but I'm intrigued to see if there's any difference and/or improvement?
I've got an AM2 Athlon 64 X2 4800 and also have downloaded official XP64 Pro drivers for all of my hardware. I've got the eval...
Right chaps,
I've recently reinstalled HL2 and thought about giving CSS a bash at the same time. However, I played very little of the original CS and only managed a limited go on Team Fortress Classic, many years ago.
Basically, I'm getting owned.................. and royally. This isn't...
Decided to give the Megs Rich Leather product a bash last night. I'd been concerned over the last couple of weeks with my car being left in direct sunshine while at work, that ultimately it may start to effect the trim on the 182 seats.
Took it easy at first - especially as the instructions...
Went past me at dinner. On Gate Street, then I saw it parked around the corner on Ordnance Street. The car looked a clone of Chris 'n Nic's Cup (complete with after-market zorst) - but without the private plate. ;)
Didn't see a CS sticker on it...

Followed you from the start of Grane Road this morning, all the way to junction 5 of the M65. Flashed you and waved when I first got on Grane Road, but I don't think I got any response!
No CS sticker that I could see of, so you probably just thought "who's this d1ck behind me?" ;)
