Mobile Phone Upgrade help- Your recommendations please.

A quick tip. I'm on Vodafone was called them yesterday to upgrade. Make sure you negotiate with them as I asked about a K850i and they wanted £150 to upgrade, then £70 and finally £20. If your interested in Sat Nav then the Nokia 6110 Navigator looks ideal for you. According to Vodafone...

    help needed re:ebay and paypal...

Did you mean to say "as paypal can't take the money out of the peoples account" ?? That's what I thought you were getting at any way. If you don't receive the item AND the seller doesn't have proof of delivery then he is liable. Paypal will take the money out of his Paypal account and if they...

I "think" it's £149 now if you take up their phone and BB products as well.

    Sky HD Box

What Sky state and what happens are two seperate things. My parents recently upgraded to Sky HD and were quoted the £60 "install" fee but a few choice words later and the threat of cancellation and they waivered the charge.

    Sky HD Box

As an existing customer the cheapest place is Sky. If you sign up to their phone and broadband package you can get it even cheaper. All you'll need to do is swap the boxes over and then call Sky to pair the viewing card to the new box.

    WTF?????

DNS translates URL's (www.thisisaurlexample.com) into IP addresses. When you enter an address, click on a link or insert an image the DNS server will look at the URL and then translate it into the IP address so your browser can then take you to that page or display the image. If there's a...

    Cant post my photos

You can either use something like Photoshop to resize the photo and then save it as a new jpg or Photobucket will resize them for you - http://photobucket.com/

    Cant post my photos

Resize them. You've probably left them at their default resolution which will be massive.

    unable to put power down

Camber... I've had the same problem and I know exactly what you're describing. It's like driving on oily/greasy roads and as soon as you put the power down you can't predict which way the car is going to squirm next.

    TV / Home Thatre

Personally I'd only bother with an amp if you want the best from your DVD's (or HD-DVD/BR) OR you have something like Sky HD which broadcasts some material in DD5.1 which your home cinema/amp will obviously show the benefits of.

    New Virgin Platform

Wow a few people from OCUK are having problems with Be*. Mate I can go on a variety of forums, quote a few people moaning about every single ISP in the UK and then come out with some bold statement that they are all crap. I could even follow your lead and provide quotes but it wouldn't make the...

    New Virgin Platform

Take a deep breath, read what I typed again and then point out where I accused you of making anything up.. With respect to the people you are quoting just because some people have less intelligence than a womble and can't get their heads round DNS servers (or the internet as a whole) doesn't...

    New Virgin Platform

I meant accurate in the sense Virgin are increasing speeds but that's about as close to reality as The_one's post got. As for 4mbps I think you're correct in saying it's going to 10mbps.

    New Virgin Platform

Mate where do you get all this crap from? I'm not sure if you read something and then put your interpretation on it but your coming out with some rubbish. There was a single day a couple of weeks ago where some Be* customers on the old Be* DNS servers couldn't access Google. If you...

    New Virgin Platform

Wrong. Be* changed their DNS servers a couple of weeks ago as "some" people were having problems. Of course anyone with any common sense would just use an alternative like OpenDNS or Treewalk anyway.

    New Virgin Platform

I'm sure Virgin never mentioned anything at all about "strain" and "exchanges". The rest of your post was fairly accurate if a little outdated.

Apparently Elvis works in their call centre too.. Not sure what Virgin cable has to do with strain on exchanges lol
