I don't have a cup alt setup. This is a topic in discussion now. Whether or not to just buy the PMS PAS delete kit and leave it all be. Or whether to go for the cup setup, which is stronger and neater. Only issue is, my alternator was brand new when I fitted it, so seems a shame to remove...
Got to keep the new phone fresh for at least a while!
You should have popped over mate. Although you do have a lot to crack on with yourself I guess.
Yeah man, I thought I told you!? I thought it would be silly to turn down this opportunity!
It'll probably be like this for a month or so. I...
Had a great day on the car yesterday, and the sun was shining.
Good old @AlexW came down to take the gearbox out for me. He managed (with a tiny bit of help from myself) to remove the subframe and everything around it, then get the gearbox out in just two hours. That was with us faffing...
The text in the video.. " that will be a hole in the tyre" did you get a blowout? Could hear a light pop but were you talking about your car or the car in front?
Interested in the rad. I seem to remember you saying it was an off the shelf item? That's what I'm after and not a fancy pants fabricated one, just in case I knock it :)
Nice write up mate. Do love a track Trophy. My good pal has one. Yours looks great so far.
Shame the photos are so bloody small though, how are you posting them? As an attachment? Maybe try and make them a bit bigger in future if possible, or link in from a photo hosting website :) I like...
I seem to have a disease where I just spend whatever I have saved, on cars. So I'm just trying to cure that a little bit haha.
There is always a car fund though. I'm a big believer of actually 'living' your life after losing my brother a year ago. I was just hoping the expenditure on the...
I didn't want to spend anymore money on the car for some time (trying to save money for a house deposit). But it looks like this will be the plan now. Be silly not to whilst the box is out.
This is why I'm thinking it might be better to just sack that box off, get a second hand one built up...
Nice purchase mate. Liking the wheels too
If you're ever spending a day on the car give me a shout and i'll come down to give a hand if I've not got other plans. Love stripping cars out!
Thanks bud. Yeah it could have been worse. It's just the hassle really. I've got to try and get the box out soon and also decide whether to buy another box on the side to get built up for a simple swap over, or to just get mine out and refurbish that.
Why didn't you come Bedford mate?
As some of you will already know I was at Bedford on Saturday. The car felt awesome and seemed to be going very well until the gearbox decided to give in. Luckily it was at a low speed and I was just changing into third gear. I put it in third and it popped out, instant reaction was to put my...
They certainly looked to be going well mate. Was following you on a few occasions in my mates FRS and the corner speed those cup racers take is laughable. You can just see it turn in and change direction so quickly.
Look forward to seeing it soon and having a passenger lap!!
Sounds like I need to try this epas then.
Wasn't saying it was or wasn't as good though, just relaying what I had read. As you say though Mark everyone likes different things.
I get that. But what I've seen someone say is that even with it turned up, it still doesn't feel as good as normal PAS...
So yeah he could have easier parking, but then he could be worse off for feel for track driving?
Which might not be ideal, if he think it feels too airy as it is.
But...
You have a manual rack on your ph1 right? I have a memory like a goldfish. If you don't like the PAS then surely the ePAS is going to feel even worse!
You could just remove the bulbs from the dash for the lights, saves a lot of messing around and remapping. I personally wouldn't want to...
If it's something over 200 then I'm more than happy haha.
I was always guessing between 200 and 205 anyway.
Looking forward to seeing how well it drives on Saturday.
I run about 28-29 psi hot on track. But that's with r888s. These tyres are my roads/wets.
