For the winter when all the salts about and its too cold on your hands to wash the car, All i do with mine is use PH neutral snow foam (on the pressure washer), Foam it up and let it dwell, Rinse and repeat, Dont touch it with a towel afterwards, But its very effective i found at cleaning just...
If its the top cap your looking at, Thats meant to move ;)
I stripped mine down and it was the bearing which had collapsed, which contributed to some interesting noises
My spring was moving on my coilovers and was told it was the norm on here :o However i stuck a pair of new topmounts & bearings on it and the noise and spring stopped.
It had done 45k and had, had a bearing fitted previously to the other side on standard suspension to cure play in the tops...

You can get boots which are made of a different type of rubber and they'l stretch over the joint but i'm not sure if ours are like this as i've not fitted a Renault one
Is it split or has the clip just come off? could just stick a new clip on it its the latter
You can also buy the cheap boots which will allow you to replace the boot without stripping the shafts, They are shite mind.
Other than that you'l need to split the CV Slide a boot on and stick two new...
Need to know the width of your wheel TBH, ITs alright people saying oh they'l fit as ive had them on my 1*2 etc but your 200 rims may have the biggest tyre on that they will accomodate safely, You could have a wider tyre fitted and the handling go all sloppy due to flex
Use the one you've got but dont apply it as a wet coat, Laquer from a distance away so it goes on Dry!
Try it on a piece of plastic or metal first though, You can get Matt laquer as i use it at work but not sure if you can get it as an Aerosol
