Rubbing / Squealing ??
Did you rub the discs down when you fitted them.. i.e cleaned them ?
Could be brake dust

1a - New engine supplied and fitted by Renault - 6 weeks without car and no courtesy car
2 - Knocking from under car
2a - Turns out when new engine was fitted the sub frame wasnt properly installed !

Wanted to start a thread about faults and remedies people have had with there cars since ownership !

For the record I wasn't stating "hmmm" to Cause a row but as many members will prob clarify there are quite a few bogus claims about on what people have done to there cars so we kinda don't believe till we see, get a Snap shot of that engine and I'm sure if what your stating is true then you'll...
Dont go Renault to get the fault read by a reader.. Go to any decent garage they should read the fault for no more than £20 (thats what i pay) or get a post put up for anyone near you who has a reader to read it for you for a small fee...
tbh i dont know on my motor, Fill it up everytime but i usaully go through that in 4-5 days as just go work and back but working in central london its bumper to bumper anyway.. Do about 20 miles per day which is pants.. Got 24.7 mpg on the clock now lol but on the motorway going Coventry last...
Sorry to jump in but i do understand about the flex needed in the exhaust, obviously i had my join cut and my cat now slides over the manifold with a clamp but there is still good flex... I tried gaskets and even welding but in the end a new cat and a new join and 6 months later its still going...
Is it blowing from a join in the exhaust then ? i.e from the front of the de-cat or rear of it ? that joint is pants on the manifold did the guy chop yours off ?? look under the car and see what type of join you got as my cat slides over the top of the manifold with a hefty clamp and has been...
Same thing happend to me funny enough with 39,000 on the clock, Had to keep getting under the car to tighten up the bolts to the manifold and cat, In the end i got a new cat and touch wood has been going strong for the last 6 months with 43,000 on the clock, i did get the crappy manifold join...

So to my problem.. I have an 04 RS 182 and i keep getting the engine management light coming on when using cruise control, Its been diagnosed with a " Intermitant brake pedal position sensor fault " using a diagnostic...
Apex on mine too.. Dowm 30mm and looks lush.. ride is rough as hell but it is ok for daily driving. Find im concentrating more on pot holes than i am on the road !
Eibachs are spose to be the dogs danglies but i dont know as never had them..

Gearbox or engine ??
If you have no idea clean up the engine best you can and then check back a couple of days later to see where its coming from.. Thats my 2 cents anyway
I got a minor leak from my gearbox gasket but its so minor i cant be arsed to change it... Only got the leak when i had...
Happened to me.. Was under the car every week tightening up the bolts to no avail, Its such a crappy designed join. I replaced my cat and got the center section cut out and replaced it with a straight through pipe, Cost £270 all in on my 182. I do feel for you though as its the most horrid sound...
Where is it blowing from ? Cat / Back box ??
Had mine blow at the cat as the join was pure wa*k so got a new cat and took out the centre silencer and replaced it with a straight through pipe. All in on my 182 including parts and labour came to £270
Obviously depends on where yours is blowing...
OMG is it me or is it a reet fecker to change the drivers side bulb !.. Bought the bulbs from Halfrauds for a remarkable £1.59 (501's) popped the bonnet tucked my head down to realise they aint no fecking room to slip my hand in... Is it easier to undo the headlight ?? Would get the GF to do it...
