Rally design do a 285mm brake disk for the clio £149 including caliper brackets and cross drilled disks.
So another £35 for some mintex pads or what ever you like to use.
And these will fit a 15" wheels I am pretty sure as the 306 gti 6 runs 285mm disks on 15" wheels.
Its running lean because you are increasing the airflow to the engine.
Basically if your have an induction kit and exhaust then you tend to make the car run more lean due to the air being aloud to enter and escape the engine faster. Therefore chipping will sort this.
O and to anyone who is unsure if its worth it then, I can deffinitly say yes with only a small amount of modifications to my head my car is so much better.
Umm probably no power gain but a nice noise.
However Nick at Hillpower does a sheilded induction kit with two air feeds for the 172. Looks quality. Give him a ring on 01530273633.
Guys what do you think the 1.4 engine could take.
Mines got full exhaust, decat, induction kit and fully rebuilt and slightly modified head,o,and an ecotek.(soon to be chiped).
would a 35bhp jet be pushing it?
unless the sensor is on the cat then it shouldnt.
the lamda sensor should be before the cat and so long as its not damaged when fitting the replacement pipe it should be fine.
Well slightly in the manner that the head was completly stripped cleaned and rebuilt. Nick took off all the major restrictions in the head and I can safely say it has made a massive improvement. As for the cam probably go for a piper cam the same Nick Hill uses.
Although might opt for a 5 turbo...
I was gona say there I heard there where some places you could get it done for around £350 (again not sure where).
But dont go to superchip.
If Hillpower do get round to doing one then I would stick to that. should be pretty cheap as well seeing as the current chips are around £150.
First things first check to see if there is enough oil in it then check for leaks etc. If these are both ok then I would have it looked at as soon as poss, as it could only be something minor and by leaving it you could make things worse. So try not to thrash it untill you have had it looked at.
Ring Hillpower see it they do one as its a straight through pipe and will make the car sound a bit more meaty.
As lets face it the standard exhaust noise is a little quite.
