You should be able to find a set including tyres for around the £300-350 mark.
I'd leave it as it is. I love the blue, black and white combo, it looks amazing with those speedlines as well, much better than the originals.

When I bought the car last year it came with tints on, which I eventually grew to like. I had contemplated removing them but knew that I'd just mess it up. Anyway, I soon grew bored of them, and the 'image' which comes with having such dark tints, so I decided to get them professionally removed...
Sounds like you had a very similar start with your Clio to the start I had with mine. Dropped a valve and took the engine with it after 6 weeks :(
