The woolly mammoth is bigger, unless you can find the XL uber yellow then they're similar sized.
Uber is just better, in every way. I'm on my 4th I think, and always choose it over my woolly mammoth
The Meguiars microfibre pads and compounds are simple to use, or menzerna compounds and hexlogic pads are a good combo.
Without seeing the condition it's hard to give any constructive recommendations
ive just taken the alloys off my old golf to sell it and they had C5 on them about 2 years ago and a quick wash and they're still coming up spotless. nano sealants for wheels are the only option for me
Yes
If you want to use both, start with rejuvenate, then tripple over the top as the fillers will then sit over a base left by rejuvenate which leaves behind a little of its own oils but not so much fillers, but these will be removed by tripple.
lay tripple first, the fillers will be removed...
Most generic glass polishes are not a true polish in the sense of abrasive. Some contain very mild abrasives to aid cleaning but most a a thorough cleanser, but more than a typical glass cleaner. Rob at GTechniq advised G4 polish will not remove G1 sealant. nor would the AG glass polish. Best to...
I've found the newer gt from factory ran 225 on the 7.5j, can't see any difference chassic and suspension.
Picked up the car this evening and it looks so pony on the standard 16's. At least the mk4 on 16's looked purposeful
Bsd can be fussy over what it's applied over.
Over a wax I didn't really rate it anything special. Used it over sonax polymer net shield and it was significantly better
Coby, what's the colour and condition of the paint. I'd always use rejuvenate as it still pulls so much dirt from the paint...
I have an older mk5 Golf gt tdi with the standard 16" wheels and 205/55/16 tyres. Getting the newer version 7.5j x 17" GT wheels for it and unsure whether to go for 215/45/17 or 225/45/17.
The 215 tyre is almost an identical match to the 16's but not sure which would be best tyre size to go for...
Ron, no real need for SRP and amigo. SRP will have more cleansers in it, but both have fillers albeit amigo will have more. Tripple in my oppinion cleanses and fills better than both
Coby, get a small tea spoon and squash, mash the wax back together as it warms up it'll soften and become workable again. Had ag HD wax do something similar
Tripple is a cleaner and very very mild abrasive, this will remove the worst if not all the previous product and lay down its own fillers and base ready to re wax.
Work tripple until it starts to haze then it's prety much done and then remove
wonder wheels hot wheels can be found for a few £ in supermarkets.
If you really don't care for the paint, their are strong acid and alkali based wheel cleaners that will strip off most grime and brake dust but will more than likely damage the paint.
Keep an eye on the marring it can leave behind.
I'm generally quite careful with my CG one, but used it on an old discovery and didn't really pay too much attention. After waxing I thought the wax was leaving holograms, turned out to be the damage I inflicted.
3m pads are nice, and an easy combo with their polishes. definitely get their blue and yellow. Green can be a bit coarse from my little trial with it so maybe consider wool pad instead.
Renaultsport models is different paint to standard Renault paint and can be a bit hard, but not VAG hard...
