approx 20,000 volts to intially start the bulb depending on model and a constant 85v to keep it going once its lit.
Thats probably why h4 bulbs have blown. Anything you can stick in a normal car is gonna be vapourised by that much juice!
I got one from YB parts ages ago. Ive had it stripped and chome plated, it looks the nutz but Ive been bottling taking the drill to my car for a while now lol
Has anyone fitted one already and can tell me if there are any obstructions underneath the strut where you drill the holes and also...
I rekon stuff like the LCR and CTR arent a big enough difference in performance or comfort for the money. Maybe its just my way off thinking but for me a next logical step would be an Evo or VX220. Its owning the 172 thats given me a thirst for something more powerful tho, Its that sort of car!
I agree. I made a claim with direct line for a 106XSI. They picked it up and within a week we had a cheque for the full value we had it insured at. No quibble, just a straight write off/payout
Decat is deffo the best VFM mod. Its all down to you presonal choice really. If you dont care about the noise get a straight through zorst and a piggyback ECU, or cams and headwork for more serious gains.
Also a 4 2 1 manifold might be a good idea as thats apparently where renno have got some...
Ive got an omp one from YB parts ready to fit. Ive just got it back from the chome platers ( they only do red at the moment) it does indeed need 4 holes drilling in the strut top. Ive got it as a cosmetic part, IMO youd be really hard pushed to get a chassis to flex even driving hard on the...
Tip for dealing with direct line, ring back with the same info about 4 times. I guarantee you someone will give you a lower price one of the times you call. When I was sorting our insurance out prices ranged from 1200 to over 3 grand! I dont know why they make such big mistakes with the prices...

Have a go at mine today, at least i know what to expect, my janspeed one looks the same as yours! POOR QUALITY!! used to be a top notch tunning company.
nah the quality is bang on. The welds and fit are are superb, its just that the top...
thats well out of order. Your better off getting your finance secured through a loan company , having the money in your pocket and either buying private or from a reputable dealer. These finance specialist car dealers are all about finance first and the car second.
hmmm. Im seeing a lot of green eyed monster in this post. Fact. The 182 will be better than the cup or 172, it simply has to be. IMO any car thats better than the 172 deserves all the positive reviews. If it wasnt for the tailpipes I might be tempted lol

if the 182 wasnt better than the 172 someone at renno would need sacking! I would wait and get a 182 if I was buying right at this moment. Even with the dodgy tailpipes!
heres my thread about my Decat adventure today lol
You can fit it DIY but make sure you have a good socket set. The top two nuts really are a tw*t to get to...
Right well its on but as you would probably guess its not been straightforward.
Heres a pic of the decat not fitted:

I would think Jas knows due to his high contact within Renault UK!
That would be the same reno UK whos dealers dont know that you cant order 172s then lol
