wow... a Clio Maxi Gordini!!!
I cant get no where about knowing if the 2lts Turbo engine from the Renault 21 would fit in a clio...
The R5 GT Turbo engine has been seen... but the 21 engine.. hum.....
That would be something...
Good luck
P.S.- if youre doing it... dont forget to...
I guess you cant advance that much to the point of spark on the upstroke...
I think the max you can advance is 8 degrees.
I know a willy that its 8 degrees advance and now just went by the 100mil km mark.. no problems so far.
just been from a suspension test. My koni just have 18mil km and one (again) is a 37% while the others are at 65 a 70%.
This is the third time I have this problem. The first time I changed suspension, the second time koni manufacteur warranty gave me a maintanance free of cost and now I really...
at bb they sell this sensor with 6 degree advance.
hum... I could see if mine is the same look a like the valver. If not, I can try the valver sensor.
How bad can it be?
Ive tried it all! opps ;P
Went to unlead 98 octane fuel, got it sensor P to the max, changed the distri cap because mine was in a bad shape (it just gri gri... whats the word?)
At ralenti the engine wouldnt stable at 900rpm... would up and down between 700 and 1100rpm. wild
In high rpm...
Ive tried this already. Just want to know your opinion on the subject and what do you sugest?
On the valver/willy I know that if you put the sensor to the max it will give an extra going on high rpm... I drive a 1.4lts energy engine, not that much extra going. :/
you can see what Im...
BenR, its when Im going down gears at hard braking... above 4000rpm it just BANG. Even using the throttle to put the engine back in high rpm while clutching between gears. Once I get my foot of the throttle... BANG.
Next week going to change spark plugs, wire set, distribuir cap, take off all...
ok.. let me see if I got this right
The Big Bangs, like a race car do but they spit fire throught the backbox, I experience happens because of unburnt fuel goes to the exhaust system.
Now, to prevent this, can I use better ignition mod? Spark plugs, wire set, etc etc or can I change the...
hum...
I was thinking of getting a new exhaust system by changing manifold to a 4-2-1 one, get rid off the first box, keep it de-cat, and only use a back box.
Since it will problably make this "blasts" even lounder, can I use a bigger backbox? like a valver one... I dont think that it...
so... it can happen even in a 1.4lts? I only got the cat away.
couldnt it be ignition problems?
I hate that noise... since Im no racer. I dont like having ppl looking at me.
If its only because of the de-cat, how can I stop this without puting back the cat?
Brun
Where did you chiped your ecu? did you need to change prom?
I belive that the NGK spark plug for your car is the same for mine... what code are you going to use?
Im changind my wire set to lucas silicone. New ones, and they are blue. eheh whatever!
it pops between gear changes? whats that? the blast exhaust noise?? cause mine is doing it now.
It "blasts" when I go up gear to 6000rpm. PAAAAA!!! opps hate that noise.
ok ok
Now I use Bosch Super 4.
Ive tried: NGK R, NGK platinum, Bosch, Champion, hum... thats all I guess.
Saw using: golden, splitfire, brisk.
All of them work just fine until they start to become wasted.
I can buy splitfire here, magnecor I have to order from uk. Because of this Splitfire comes cheaper...
My question... is it really worth the extra cash instead of using just regular wire set?
Ok nitrous... theres something I only saw twice in here...
BenR,
I really need to replace my spark plug wire set. I was looking magnecor or splitfire... is there anyone else in "performance" wire set?
Does it really gives any kind of gain compared to the original ones? Spending some bucks on this one maybee not worthit
Im lost... I just know that...
eheh.. I agree with benR.
Now, my doubt is in wire set. I measure the electric resistence in a splitfire wire and they were +- 560 ohms. The ones that I have in my Clio are +- 2500 ohms. wow huge diference...
Now, is it worth it? hum... I have my doubts.
You can get a supersprint cat-replace... not really my thing cause its to damn expensive for the job.
I got a pipe just like de cat. Once attached, never saw a reason why go for the supersprint one. Maybe the wallet.
You can experience a noise at certain rpm... I dont know if supersprints...
Something in my mind...
with a spec fast road cam does the car passes the exhaust emissions?
I dont know how you call it... the anual car inspection...
I dont know what are the motorsport bits... maybe you should look into the clio Maxi mod...
what I read its forged pistons with only two pistons rings.
I dont know if this is right, at least exists.
