^^^ What he said, be patient and wait, you'll only regret not getting the one you really want! OR....
Get that one, then sell it when you can afford the Mk2 haha!
Yeah release bearing mate, mine is the same, been like it for ages, i don't think there is much you can do apart from deal with it until you need the clutch doing, as its quite a big job to sort it!
I've basically got the AWT/GDI 200hp conversion, but didn't go to either of them (simply as it was distance to travel for me) I got the components seperate and then took my car to Mark Fish who fitted it all for me, prices are reasonable for the quality of work!
Gave mine to him on saturday...
Would a mini throttle body be a direct replacement for the renault part then? Would it be plug and play no mucking about, take renault off, plug mini in, away we go??
I've got mine caged and certainly noticed the difference is handling when it was bolted/welded down.
As for the strut braces i've got both front and rear, rear one does nothing but the front did feel a bit more tight after
Mark Fish did all the work for me, only 30 mins downs the road from me so easy to get to as well!
Yeah i reckon it could make more with a stand alone system, thinks that's next on my list!!
One word mate, AWESOME! Mods i've got are:
Cat cams
AWT inlet
182 manifold (ceramic coated race spec)
BMC filter
Decat
Exhaust
Superchip
Completely stripped (roof lining the lot!)
Produced 204bhp at the flywheel.
With the new cams fitted, driving around town locally is much more...
Now i've had them fitted mapped etc, it did only give a gain of 16, however i don't know the gain in the mid range, which, from what i understand, that's the 20-25bhp figure
