I've had a good weekends rallying, went up to M-Sport on Friday and met a few friends, then Malcolm Wilson rally on Saturday then over to Yorkshire for a road rally, got home 7am this morning :dead:
a couple of MWR pics...
yeah I'm in Warrington most days, never been spotted yet though! Probably just as well.
I don't have any cliosport stickers :dapprove:
I've spotted a lot in Warrington but by the time I get home I've normally forgotten the number plate. Still not seen Maz though :(
So who's going to enter this then? I did a couple of events in my bog standard 172 and won my class last time. Mr Bolton Midnight always puts on good events and you are guaranteed some proper classic Lancashire lanes on the route.
Be warned though, you might get your car dirty :rasp:
Yes, but he's got a slightly different engine in it now, still a Cosworth V6 though.
Have a look at www.peugeot-cosworth.co.uk , some nice pics on there, and some of mine as well :D
It's a 306 ;)
Finished the rally in a tree on stage 7 :(, Andrew has had a look at the damage and it can be repaired fairly quickly so he'll be out again soon :D
An Escort Cossie did end up on it's roof near the end of the stage but the crew were ok. Unfortunately a driver was killed following an accident mid-stage :(
Andrew Burton won't be out on the Sunseeker, the car finished the rally in a tree in stage 7 :dapprove:
Clare Samuel's new car was...
I used Eclipse fluid (£7 bottle has lasted me 3 years) and PEC pads (100 for £5.99) attached to a plastic spatula. A very easy job, just use the mirror lock up facility... cheaper than paying a camera shop, I don't know about Canon but Nikon charge something like £30 and it takes about 30...
I had trouble keeping my feet out of the shots! I'll hopefully get some scenic ones done next weekend if it isn't p'ing down... I'm due to do a portrait shoot as well so may try it then too.
Your Sigma arrived then I guess?! I ordered one from HK last weekend, it arrived on Thursday. I had been thinking of using it for rally photography but I think I'll get run over if I do... I've already nearly smashed it by thinking I was miles away from the subject :o
It's not necessarily better, it just gives a wider angle of viewing, eg in the first pic I would not have been able to get such a tapering effect on the building at say 30mm. I was just trying the lens out - I've had decent pics at the same location with other lenses eg
