Whereabouts are you bobby theres bound to be someone on here nearby that could help.
If you fancy doing it yourself, remove engine cover, engine mount and jack the engine up under the sump, can be a little tight though - have you got air con?
When they worked on your engine did they replace the cambelt?
If so theres a mark on the fuel pump housing that needs to be lined up with a mark on the pulley on the 1.5's - I think the sensors on the pump on them aswell
*Edit* Have you done a spill of test?
Front hubs are 250nm mate, any decent torque wrench would have it on but not the £11.99 Argos ones
Stick the axle stands under the chassis leg which runs most the length of the car, dont use a trolley jack on its own
Oil pipe for the turbo, its at the back of the head as you look at it, on the right hand side it goes in at an angle, right on the corner of the block.
Tell them to take that off, and there'll be a rubber washer knackered on the end of it.
Yeah they ran out at the factory or something, loads of little bits of paper in the car saying Work Needed = 'No sport badge X2' Guessing the salesmen are just throwing it away...
If its missing, turn your ignition off, take the engine cover off, then take all 4 10mms of the coils, and push the coils back in if you pulled them out, then start it up, and slowly lift each coil and listen to hear if its 'sparking'
Torx 20 Sorry, these gay little screws that all renaults are held together by.
I'd take it back to the garage with 2 days warrenty left.
Is it a dealership?
When you work the back washer jet can you hear the motor going under the bonnet - N/S scuttle panel at the back? Whip the scuttle panel off and check the wiring on the plug, can get soaked with water.
Have you checked your fuse, or it might be a blocked/trapped pipe.
Yeah its got a baby turbo if you like :o No intercooler though
Personally dip the oil see what its got, then get the airbox off.
Firstly get the engine cover off, then the cold air feed pipe off, if you've got a T20 get the sensor off the side, then a few hose clips off etc and it should slide...
Possibly turbo blown?
Any of the air pipes at the back of the engine going to the turbo soaked in oil?
Did it start revving up/running on its own? If that makes sense
How many miles and age
Is it a 65/80 or 100 aswell...
Some 1.2 16V's have that oil filter though....
Stick your hand down the back of the engine (O/S) and its going upwards, should be able to feel if its a metal one or plastic outer - in which case it is the paper element.
Or even easier take the wheel off, see it straight ahead of you
Its a sensor 'attached' (gel) to the windscreen on the inside, and has wiring that goes up through the strip of plastic going up the top of your screen.
First check your oil, or even better put a engine flush in, get some good semi synth and change the lot aswell as the oil filter/sump plug washer.
Does it sound tappety/rattely? Could be tappets mate
What engine you got in it?
