If you have a 98 - 2001 clio i would opt for a mk1 172 as a donor car. To be honest a later 2001 - 2005 set up will fit, but will require a little bit more work to fit. Make sure you get everything to do the conversion including ..
engine
gearbox
suspension
hubs
discs
calipers...
Had a guy come in on Friday with one of the TWR development V6's running a Delorto triple pack. Car was actually a 1.6 16v and had been used to develop the later V6 clio,s ( had a mk2 front end ) apparently you've seen the car ??
Well the Audi Lump is good for way above 600 bhp - in the states they've got them running 8 sec quarters. The problem with mine was the gearing. My mate has run an 11.1 now in his car which has the same set up as mine but with a custom built box. He was running 100bhp of Gas with that. His...
Ive raced lots of supercharged CTR's and left them for dead ( 12.0 @ 122MPH // 0 - 60mph in 3.9 secs )
Reliable ?? its been running 400 bhp for 12 months without a hicup ??
Into the 10's ...... when - were ????
Just taken my Corvette to these guys and had a straight through system fitted ( Powerflow ) just go down and have a chat to them. They have lots of tail pieces you can look at, are they will fabricate you something to your liking
1 - check for an air lock ( bleed the system if need be ) then refill using the bleed screws to release locked air. As you do this lift the header tank as high as you can above the engine.
2 - check you radiator. Renault radiators are renowned for collecting s**t in the bottom and blocking...
Your wasting your time mate
For a start Renault plip keys have to be brand new - you cannot re-programme a 2nd hand plip so it operates the central locking and immobiliser on another car.
Judging from your Avatar im assuming your car is a mk1 172 ?? if that the case you have to order a...
I raced 2 Cerbera's at Santa pod last year ( 2001 4.2 models ) and left them standing - they are quick dont get me wrong but i think your figures above are a bit generous. Unless its a speed 12 and no one on here has one of them mate.
Theres a guy called Tim0172 on the forum and his brother...
You have had your pants pulled down and bummed good and hard there matey - a 12k service consists of an oil change / filter and level check and a quick look round the car to see if Renault can screw you for anything else that might need repairing ( 1.2 hr labour rate ) - your basically paying...
yes you can fix it - the thing is whats causing it ? when an airbag light flashes it could be one of 8 - 16 circuits that have been broke and need sorting. The most common fault is the pre-tensioner wiring loom under the front seats coming loose due to the seat moving backwards and forwards /...
At 36k a "service required" indicator light will appear on the dash on some vehicles - thats because its due its 36k service interval. It can be knocked off manually though without having to have it done at a main dealers. Get the fault checked at Renault are a specialist that has a "clip"...
Theres thousands of CAT C cars on the roads - providing the repair has been done to a good standard theres nothing wrong with them. CAT A & CAT B are the ones that are fucked and arent allowed back onto the road. It does affect the price though - i sold a CAT D 2000 mk1 172 for £2500 repaired...
It will be a fucked hydraulic tappet - these things should compress in a vice and spring back out easily. If they dont they can cause this problem. From cold they will rattle a bit until there full of oil. Get it checked out as it may be something less obvious.
Most of the people on here are Fukwits - and judging from your above comment, in my books you fall right into that category
The car wasnt a death trap - in inexperienced hands any high powered vehicle is a death trap .....had it for 3 years and never had one accident unlike lots of people on...
Those are the words of an Halfords Junkie ben - 99% of the people on here are complete fukwits and dont have the ability to tune a car - they can talk brake pads and vented discs and a bit of oulton park and "The ring" talk but dont know there arse from there head.
Ben my little friend -...
The airbag was 1st invented by J W Hetrick in the states back in 1952
The first ever production car fitted with an airbag was an Oldsmobile Tornado in 1972 - we were driving round in Morris minors then and we were lucky if they were fitted with a f**king steering wheel
They did not meet...
