hopefully there will be no 'bugs'. engine is spending 2 days on the rollers, so will be mapped to within an inch of its life by Andy and Richard of Omex.
Its more the handling that i will need to get use to, rather than the engine.

well these are light enough to be held in place with 25mm wide double sided tape. there is no chance the originals i got from PT would of stayed in place with that.
Tho having said that, the door isnt totally flush, so i did rivet it twice in the bottom corner.

Decided to mount the oil cooler, in prep for the engine to go in. Felt that mounting it to the front cross member would be best, as it allowed good airflow through the bumper, and was a solid beam to mount to.

the AP's still aint a monoblock calliper, so why would it flex any less than other callipers (which is what i have spotted you spouting on about in other threads)

well they used to run individual throttle bodies, at about 225bhp.
but then the rules changed to a single throttle body, and i think they now produce around 205 bhp.
not forgetting thats from a 1.6 lump. super high revs too! :D
for sure you can get the parts, but the cost would be serious. Which 99% of people are not gonna stump up.
SMD Racing do a ful wide arch kit, not sure on how good it is mind!
the thing that puts me off those sort of conversions, is unless you can actually get the correct suspension etc, then you have to run spacers which is shite.
Like Bic's 106 for example, he sourced genuine 106 maxi suspension and drive train, so not only does it look the real deal, it handles...

un-declared mods on a car insured third party fire and theft.
As in thoery if you crashed, the insurance company would never need to inspect your car, as they wouldnt be paying out for reapairs.
Or in a bad accident, would they still collect it and...
servicing has more to do with labour costs.
IE: if you need to remove say a lower engine cover, to get to the oil filter, then its gonna cost more than a car where the oil filter is easily available etc.
Plus prices vary from garage to garage.
