thats pretty good.
I cant rememebr who i am with, but i mentioned a roll cage etc etc when i took the policy out, and they said once getting them done declare them, but my policy price wont increase.
Think i pay about £400 a year on my 172. But then i have age on my side!! lol
no longer straight chassis? explain more please mate.
As stated in an earlier post, not looking for beuty, looking for quality.
I trust Mark Fish in what he does, and am happy with the welding that has been done.
car has to be ready for first round, which is April 5th & 6th.
Engine is nearly ready to go, just waiting on the pistons, as they are a custom GDI spec. So once they turn up will throw it in, run it in, then be mapped to buggery.
I am just waiting on the dash to come back, then once that...
ok, pic updates...
front bumper off...
removed fog lamp covers etc, and started cutting to make way for the cup racer brake ducts. It was pretty hard to tell how much to cut away, so it was a case of cut a little, check fitment, cut a little more, check and repeat 50 times.

hey Bic, glad to see you on here.
looks like some good stuff you will be producing!
Looking forward to seeing it at FCS. Once bits are in production maybe we can chat more on MSN, maybe get some of bits on my Time Attack car!! :D
i think stealth is always the best on the 172, just suits the lines better.
plus i think its cool to have a bit of noise with no visable 4 inch slash cut montser pipe on show! :D
My home PC has been buggered receently, hence no pic updates.
I have fitted my cup car air ducts (will show the complete lack of quality of these overpriced peices of shite with pics).
Carbon door cards have turned up, a bit on the heavy side due to the amount of fibre glass backing, so...
ah right, didnt realise you had things like that. I guess what with not seeing any pics or real details of the engine (or are they lost somewhere in your massive thread?) we dont know all the little expensive parts!
and yeah, sorry forgot about the gearbox.
shame you wont release the...
defo, i drive for fun, as i am not competing in any races.
This year will challenge my driving style and technique as i will have to drive as fast as i can to compete in Time Attack.
Cant say i have ever seen your driving Fred, would love to get on a track with all the 'big boys' of this...
does that 47k include all the stuff you have bought, decided you didnt like and then sold again?
would be interesting to see the break down of cost, as mine is a similar spec... minus the super charger and i havent spent anywhere near half that!!!
Yeah, show people how its done properly.
But i have PGTI and Performance Tuner sorted, plus whatever mag coverage there is for Time Attack, oh and the fact that its gonna be on Motors TV.
but hey ho... i am sure i could fit it in.
the 206 @ FCS was vinyl wrapped, and did look shite. But that was due to a poor camo design.
As you can see on the golf its individual patterns, more spread out, which IMO looks awesome.
