pedal feel on the compbrakes is not softer, if bled properly, it is just slightly longer.
i put this down to more fluid having to be moved initially. Otherwise in my opinion they have better pedal feel, are more progressive and have more modulation.
But each to thier own. I am happy to...
yup, i beleive D4ve has his kit on the way, tho i dont think AP do it direct, another comapny has made the brackets etc. Like i mentioned, a few quid change from £1500!!
why will they overheat quickly?
whilst i agree that extra cooling will benefit, one of the main advantages of 4 pots is they dont overheat as quickly as standard callipers. Especially if using a two peice disc as the heat transfer is less.
hey Sean.
Great to hear your coming to the Clio fold!
first thing i would warn you, the characters that live on here are a whole different bunch to Saxo owners. As you well know, a Saxo owner is not shy about spending 5k on a s/c conversion to a VTR thats worth 2k!
Whereas here alot of...
another person who went to a scooby and came back!
i ran a Spec-C JDM STI for 2 months, until i said enough was enough and had to sell it. The running costs were out of this world. Like you say, i am not sure how some people run them day to day, must earn alot more money than me!
so i have...
i assume you have plenty of first hand experience of K-Sport callipers failing then?
Love peoples comments on here! Should of got AP or Brembo blah blah... yeah, he probably would of if he had well over double the money he spent to throw at a set of brakes!!!
ditto!
i think it looks a bit strange 'just' having the top done, so i am getting the whole lot done.
Tho by the sounds of it there will be more flocked dashes than standard ones soon! lol
panic stations for a second there!!!
dont understand why you need a second engine for the intercooler etc?
wouldnt that try be wedged in after the engine is in? once you know what room you have to play with?
Sold my 182 cup to them a few years back.
Glen seems a nice guy, and evidently a typo mistake!
he has plenty going in and out of there all the time, so easy to mistake a car for sitting around for months.
any who... carry on!
i can also confirm they are standard renault discs.
mine turned up in thier original reanult packaging!
i will have to check mine tonight.
not too sure on KTEC's non refund policy with these. Customer is king? or does that not exist anymore?
Plus the bad feedback they have just...
not at all mate, was just looking at putting our friendly banter to test at FCS!
but to be honest, whether your car makes it, or whoever is driving, we will all be having a good time none the less!
ah right, no worries!
you do realise that the warrenty is void if you over spin them?
cant remember if yours was new or used, so i depends if its relevant or not!
i am aware of this.
But from past experience people have put smaller pulleys on the Rotrex to increase boost.
My mate did it on his Rotrex charged Saxo VTR, and i also seem to remember that Simon 'sybez' Berry did it on his tbs s/c 106 GTi.
Was just enquiring if you were doing the same...
thats cool mate.
the sooner i can get it done the sooner i can sort the interior out!
How is my engine coming along by the way? or should i ask andy? :D
as asked in the other thread ben:
are you garunteed 450hp from your engine?
or is that a guestimate?
gonna be running some serious PSI to get that! what sort of boost are you expecting to put through it?
also, wont that kinda power through the front wheels be a bit.... pointless?
I have managed to get a really good deal with Suffolk Flocking Services mate. so they are gonna sort it.
I just didnt wanna load you guys up with even more of my work!
Plus time is starting to be an issue!
