Other half is still running Ubuntu so I'll probably get to see it on her box if she decides to upgrade.
I went back to openSUSE after PC-BSD. I like SUSE (KDE) more than Ubuntu.
If I can ever get sound to work in PC-BSD then I'll probably move to that full time. It's so bloody quick!
Well personally I'd choose Sky simply because Virgin are no longer carrying Sky channels.
I have Sky TV and Sky phone service and have no complaints.
Didn't go for broadband with them because they only offer Sky connect in our area which isn't any good to me.
hmm apparently there is a fault on the line which is why I am still on 2Mb.
I have to do a number of tests over the weekend, call them back on monday and they will resolve the issue with BT.
I'm synchronised at 8Mb but I'm still on 2Mb.
There is a BT tester (http://www.speedtester.bt.com) that checks what the line can support, what you're current throughput is and what your ISP has set your account as (IP Profile).
It confirms it's an 8Mb line and says my ISP profile is 2Mb.
I...
Don't suppose anyone here works in Pipex tech support?
From what I can gather our line speed has been upgraded to 8Mb but my account is still on 2Mb.
I e-mailed on Tuesday but had no reply. Don't fancy ringing due to the charges!
Apparently FF 1.5 and onwards saves 5 bookmark backups a day.
C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Profile name>\
Should be a bookmark folder in there.
It should contain a number of these: bookmarks-(date).html
This info is from...
It's possible that another profile has loaded.
Close firefox, click START -> RUN
Enter this: firefox.exe -profilemanager
See if more than one profile is listed, if so, the other profile is probably the one you were using and has your bookmarks.
I sold mine about the middle of last year, didn't have as many games as you but had a lot of extra hardware. I sold it for £100, so £50 is probably reasonable I'm afraid. Probably better off keeping it!
I got mine from Toys R Us, best price / bundles available at the time.

Edit: And...
You could use Firefox until you've managed to fix IE.
Even if you don't like it, at least you'll still be able to view pages properly....
Firefox Download
suck a f**k! ;)
This seems as good a place as any...
Loving the wall plugin in beryl :)
It's not just pretty either, you can move your open apps between the view points and increase / decrease view points.
I think next time I'll try it with an SB Live card. It's just a shame I gave my spare to my mrs's dad else I could have tried. Only other one I have is in the mrs's machine heh
Still, it's nice to be back on suse :)
It was OSS.
I've given up I'm afraid, been at it nearly 2 days and not been able to resolve the issue so I'm back on suse!
It was as though something was muted as the driver was correct but so were all the volumes.
