Sweet. I'll roll on over sometime after 6.30 then. I'll relieve you of my 2118's as well......and maybe even chuck some of the engine mount cash at you if you're nice.
Before taking the plunge with the UCH, check the battery and/or all of the terminals in the fuse/relay boxes. These sometimes lime up and cause all manner of glitches. As for the battery, if its faulty or just plain knackered it can cause havoc.
PM Sir Dave. He had similar symptoms and it...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Could it be fuel pump? Its just weird that it takes two attempts to start it from 'cold' so to speak. Like yours, mine is fine if its been running and say i stop for fuel, it starts on the first turn but leave it a significant amount of time it takes two...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
Jord, mine has the same issue, as done James' from JMS 172. The injector rail doesn't get primed on the first turn of the key to the number 2 ignition position.....in mine you can't hear the fuel pump fire up on the first attempt but if you go back to off and...
200 looks best in either white or red on black speedlines.....IMO.
Its cornering ability is staggering but its just underpowered. Im all for NA but dare i say it, it needs a light pressure turbo......or just a crash diet.
I fear not no. I don't think many people can make it so i may just organise it for sometime in the Autumn or Winter. Its more of an off season meet anyway....
So when you said 'evolve' i think you meant its an example of 'devolution'.
Another example of a numpty with some sort of visual impediment which makes his brain think that all that s**t looks good.
What were your fronts were indeed fairly well used! They have been put on the rear since i had them off you and were run on the rear at Snett and still have a couple of track outings left in them.
The fronts got pretty well worn but again they will last. Luckily i now have a ratty old set of...
Mine are on Failbook hence the crappy quality. Tom only went for blue as he knew the photographer would snap him more than the rest.........Nick and I didn't get as many pics as we were just too damn fast. Cups after all....;)
Tom, Dan's opinion is now that we've done the wheels and mirror cappings that it needs something else done in blue on the front........personally i think he's talking soft but there you go. Cracking pics. Love the numberplate-less look.
A cracking was had by all of the JMS, Failsport and the lone SanerSaxShed yesterday at Snett. ;)
Once again we were mixing it with all manner of hyper, Sir_Dave tenting type BMW's, GTR's, X-Bows, a Clio 200 Cup series car (an absolute weapon) and your usual weird and wonderful track fodder...
No im not the painter, i just did the prep work so our painter didn't have too much work on his hands when it came to painting them. It still took him two goes though!
What is it you need mate? May be able to help you out. PM me with any questions.
The colour, incase anyone is wondering, is Riviera Blue. Normally found on a GT3 RS.
B*****d wheels to prepare. B*****d wheels to paint. Thats coming from a painter who used to paint wheels for McLaren a few years ago!
Didn't help that they were shot blasted with the equivalent of builders...
You can all get bent!
I won't attempt to defend myself tho.....its a new low having TOM say he will supervise me.......then again it could be Nick saying it. Then i'd be suicidal.
Im also a no go im afraid. Need tomo evening to fettle the exhaust and/or add some camber to the Cup. Any other week i'd be there but im afraid Snetterton prep takes priority over our weekly soccer thrashings.
I'll second Dave on this.....i hope Matt is paying you top 'be my friend' money Ed. ;)
I'll also agree that i'd like to see affordable enlarged front fog air ducts.
