after the cars warmed up and i rev it over 4k the idle stops at about 1500rpm. Been told its the speedo cable earth bu iv had a look and cant see owt. where is it exactly? the pic was taken when i had all the heater controls out etc. Cheers...

ok, iv been out for a sneaky drive, even tho my box is still fooked! under 4k the revs drop pretty low still, no sign of cutting out though, but when i gave it some above 4k, the revs never dropped below 1500rpm afterwards. and it idled at that too, but seemed to move up and down a fair bit...

i got one of these for mi old man a few weeks back. All is good, but on 2 occasions he went past a sneaky police van taking snaps and the system did not alert him. How do these vans work? is it radar/laser, cos if so then this part just not be working properly! thanks

Right im still not sure what engine management to go for. Iv had cams, verniers, headwork, balanced block, ktr manifold, but it needs mapping. Choices are Unichip - lots of dealers, good results, reasonable price. SMT6 - better, but bit more expensive, problem is remaps wold be difficult...

Managed to get to a pit today to have a good look at the gearbox as it pissed out all its oil a few weeks ago. The housing is cracked so something must have given way inside. It drove the 2 mile ok though, alhough i didnt touch the revs hardly all the way...

Been having problems with a dodgy idle for months now. It also cuts out when coming to junctions occasionally untill it is fully warmed. Anyway iv got a couple of other things to try but filmed it today, as i had to start the car up anyway, seen as its sat on teh drive not doing much...

........if i drove mi car 20ish miles considering i fuked the gearbox up 3 weeks back and it pissed all the gearbox oil out. i.e it has no oil in the box lol. Seems to select all gears ok though and was driving as normal before i got home and realised what had happened! cheers

since i had cams etc fitted my idle is lumpy as foook. Car drives spot on, but would this be down to the cams that need adjusting? The guy that built the engine just fitted them according to kent recommendation and didnt set anything up at all. Runs fine, but will be needing unichip or...
