Still running like a powerboat this morning. It's not had a lot of water but clearly enough to do this.
Should I run it and try to dry out or take the the garage?
Why do you only find these threads AFTER you fall foul of the same thing. :tired:
Decided to clean engine bay today and rinsed off. Exact same symptoms now. Yes, I know I'm an idiot. Hoping it will dry out and resolve itself :grimacing:
Warning to others!
Hi folks,
Noob question time. Car just back from having suspension refresh and work.
I've gone to give the bay a quick clean and noticed that f/o/s top mount (outer piece black rubber) is loose and can be spun with my hand? Other side is tight as I would expect.
Should this be tight? Car has...
Wow! You are making light work of getting this up to spec.
Are you sure it didn't come like that and you sprinkled some dirt and a couple of pound coins down to make it look like a tough job
Very nice. I haven't been out in one but everything I read suggests these are pretty damn sharp out the box. Is it going to beneficial to tamper with the chassis? I would certainly be prioritising a remap to free up some ponies though. Enjoy
I've had the track rod ends replaced along with a suspension refresh last week. Starting to notice a bit of wandering on straights. It's fantastic in the bends though.
Car feels like it's pulling slightly left when running at a constant speed. If you decelerate it pulls further left and...
The 208 seems to be a step in the right direction for Peugeot and the competition can only be a good thing. It wouldn't tempt me out of a 200 EDC or lightly used Megane though.
I get a subscriber copy so it doesn't have the same cover. It's issue 247 though, May 2018.
Peugeot has the legs initially but the Renault chassis shines through with better feel, ride and handling. Good result considering the 208 GTi is their current pick of the mini hot hatches (no Fiesta ST...
New issue of evo landed this morning. It's got a nice twin test of alien green CL10 CUP against the new Peugeot 208 GTi in Wales.
Let's just say, even with 8 years extra development the competition hasn't quite caught up.
Looks great! That will be a cracking car.
Cheeky request - don't suppose you would be willing to part with some of the stripped bits (cash of course)? I've got some pieces I would like to source (in good condition) to get my 172 Cup complete.
- handbrake surround
- rear carpet
- left and right...
I like it a lot but I think it suits the visibly modded cars better like yours. I'm planning to keep mine looking standard.
Next up is wheel refurb then I've got a scuff to sort. I had thought that would be it but I don't really like the new cheap backbox on it. So probably need to factor in...
Looks great! Was that the one for sale in Aberdeen on Gumtree by chance? If so, it looked a bargain. I'm sure it will be cracking once you get the bits and bobs done to it.
Nice TME by the way.
