Folks,
My car has a few bits of trim missing which were taken out previously to save weight. I'd like to source them and stick them back on so it's complete.
I need a handbrake trim cover, rear carpet (may come as one as half cut out), boot liner trim / carpet.
Being a 172 Cup are these...
Have you got a thread? If not get one up! Sounds great. Certainly taking it to the right place. Barrie, Brian and the guys are first class. Will be interesting to see what spec you opt for.
Haha! I saw the pics of your car and thought yours was more in the £3k+ bracket lol! It looks a beaut.
I've had my other car done at Pentland, like you say, great job. Definitely next on my list. Once I've done that we should get them out for a few pics.
I'll be very interested to see what...
I was reluctant too but a few small things goes a long long way. Don't know why I put it off so long honestly. Here's a list of what was done plus part numbers if it's any use to some of you.
I agree with you there. No doubt the standard setup well maintained is still very capable on the road. I thought about blowing the budget on B14s but didn't want to neglect the other components to do it.
Following Ben Lowden's Clio Trophy and 172 Cup articles on Pistonheads I couldn't resist this car which appeared on Cliosport locally around the time. I had a bit of a dash to get there before 2 or 3 other viewers but made it and bagged a bargain for my runabout. The previous owner had it for 7...
Once before but not in a Clio. Been out a bit as passenger but was never too keen when it was my own car out there! Going to change that now. I'll come in April to spectate if I'm free.
Sounds good. My brother had the RS Sabelt on his R26, it was nice.
Prior to last week the steering had a bit of play and had lost it's sharpness. It was starting to understeer a bit and was bouncy at the rear (all when pushed).
It's fantastic now. Steering is super direct and responsive. No...
That's why I went with Royal. I really don't like the thumb grips so wanted the smooth and more modern look.
Was tempted to get blue stitching but decided there's enough blue in a 172 Cup already!
I'm sitting here a rather happy chappy and thought I would share my latest delivery with you guys.....
Cheers Jack at Royal Steering Wheels. Over the moon with it. Having had the suspension and steering refreshed last week it would have been rude not to.
126k and sticking 1000 miles a month on it now.
I've had a low mileage Impreza P1 before and didn't actually enjoy it as much as I worried about affecting future values etc.
Really enjoying just using the Clio care free. Getting suspension and steering refresh next week so the odo is just a...
Thanks mate. No, it was great. Previous owner had it 7 years and looked after it. It was fairly high mileage and needed (still needs lol) a little cosmetic work. It was a bargain.
Had a couple of set backs this week which have made me appreciate what I've got and make the best of it! Decided it's time to show my 172 Cup some love as I will be keeping it for a while yet.
I bought this car off a member on here for £1000 3 years ago. Use it everyday and now doing about 50...
Don't know how I missed this thread. Spent the last few pages worrying you were going to get rid of the Turinis.....!
Don't do anything else to that car. Save your money for vpower and tyres. It's perfect.
How are you getting on with the B14s and is the centre section noticeably quieter...
