    Cold air feed needed?

Getting a chuckle out of this  Surely someone must have one like this or know what it is?! The guy went to a fair bit of effort relocating a smaller expensive battery to fit this. Other things done point to a fair bit of knowledge and common sense...

    Cold air feed needed?

Haha yeah I did wonder a little! Hopefully someone will know. If you google V6 airbox an occasional picture of one like this comes up.

    Cold air feed needed?

Hi guys, I bought my 172 Cup in June and the previous owner had fitted this airbox. It doesn't look like other V6 ones I have seen - is it an Espace one? It's fitted with a panel filter and does make a nice sound. My water temp needle usually sits just below half. On hard driving /...

    Newbie Track Car Advice

There isn't really a legitimate concern there, it's just that I like Cups to have the original cloth seats. I like the purity of them! No big deal. I would also make sure that your car comes with the original turini wheels as they are expensive and desirable. I wouldn't mind something of...

    Newbie Track Car Advice

Personally I don't like that the seats have been changed. Keep on the look out and don't rush in. There's plenty out there. Mods or not on a car wouldn't swing my decision. If it has a few good additions then that will save you some £ and hassle. If not then you can always pick up things in...

    Geo done - thoughts?

Thanks for replies! It certainly felt good before in corners but was nervous in a straight line under power (especially 5k+). As has been said, the toe would appear to have been well out. Very happy now. Sharpness returned and more settled / stable with it. Money well spent. Rear ARB next....

    Geo done - thoughts?

Quick update: few more miles under the belt and tyres scrubbed in a little. Turn in has returned and in addition it feels more stable in a straight line and with increased ultimate grip. All good!

    Geo done - thoughts?

Hi guys, Got full alignment done last week on a Hunter machine. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to things like this - what do you think of the numbers? That morning I had my worn Bridgestone RE050A (front) Toyo T1R (rear) replaced with a set of new PS3. I have done about 100 miles since...

What have you done to your car today ???

4 new PS3s on this morning, sitting in McD waiting on my 2pm appointment for geometry. Love days well spent! Rather excited as already a huge improvement in the car since fitting Eibach sportlines to new Cup dampers and new top mount bearings last week. I was a little late joining the Clio...

    Eibach sportline

Another one here for new cup dampers and sportlines. Just fitted mine on Friday (with new top mount bearings) and WOW. Love it.

    Suspension refresh?

Nice list that. What about top mount bearings (£12 each)? I had mine done (admittedly the old ones were horrible) and wow what a difference. Immediately noticeable with first input, the steering is now so light and smooth. It's fantastic

Got 4 PS3 from tyre leader for £68 per tyre (195 section though). They were cheapest by a long way

Clio 182/197 built quality vs megane 225

Lucky guy! Your choice is very particular on his (and your!) personal preference. The Megane is a lot more refined, quieter, more comfortable etc. It will also make good progess without having to wring it's neck due to lots of torque and power low down. The Clio on the other hand may feel a...

182 as second car (winter, dog, everything!)

Good plan. I bought my 172 Cup as a second car in June, always fancied one too. Cracking little cars and offer great value. Don't rule out getting one that's due the belts. Just make sure you alter the price to account for it. That way you are in control and can make sure it's done properly...

    172 Cup fast road geometry

Ah, not what you want! I've got Brembo HC discs, Mintex 1144 pads and braided brake lines. Probably stick some better fluid in and hopefully that will be good enough.

Thanks for the advice guys. Appreciate it. I will definitely take any chance to get out with an instructor and won't be spending much more modding the car - just going to enjoy it.

    172 Cup fast road geometry

Hi folks, I know this has been done before however I would like to see if there is anymore up to date info / opinions. I've had my Cup since June, it's my first Clio and I am having a blast in it. It's 99% a road car although I am planning to track it a couple of times next year and it doesn't...

Opinions please on getting a new diesel Clio to replace my 172

I kind of agree with the above. I don't know how many miles you do, I assume a lot. Otherwise I would just use the 275. I think when you pay so much to have a stunning car then why not get the benefit of it? Miles doesn't affect value as much as people think on a new car. I had a mint low...

    Advice on these 182s please

Nice car that BG but it will depreciate and £4250 is still strong money. That's a lot of investment to get back in a few years. I don't think you will get it all back. I think the most likely depreciation proof route would be a mid priced Trophy or a cheap 172 Cup or 182. Some of them are cheap...

    New 197 owner - questions

Driveability gains supposedly. Better pull from lower in the rev range, better idle and cold running. Unlikely much bhp wise. I'll be doing mine next few days. Simple to unlock (costs 60 euro plus 29 euro for map).

    New 197 owner - questions

Plenty folk running decat without mapping and no issues. Personally I would stick to handling mods as you won't get much tangible performance gain unless you spend a lot on cams etc. Induction, exhaust and mapping won't give you much. I am about to rstuner my car however as its so cheap if you...
