Bilstein B16 PSS-10 coilover kit or SACHS remote-reservoir dampers

I didn't think you could get the B16 only the B14?

    DIY Induction - Oil Breather?

I just put mine next to the header tank. It consists of the tank, a filter and a 90 degree hose joiner.

Cooksport springs and Cup shocks VS Coilovers for a daily driver advice?

Ideally you should have cup shocks for the extra damping to go with the stiffer springs.

    New rims?!

The lightest pro race wheel is 73.1mm centre, 5 stud offset of ET45 and plain black. They're 6.2kg. I've got one less stud, an extra 10mm offset and they're silver so extra paint of top of the black. I'm tempted to get some slicks on the Hockenheims...or maybe some cheap Rainsport 3 for road...

    New rims?!

If you have book figures they vary on offset, centre bore, number of studs and even the colour! I used calibrated scales so I'd question other figures rather than my own.

    New rims?!

I weighed them on the weekend, 0.5kg per wheel. Both sets are lighter than the standard F1s. OZ F1 7.7kg Hockenheims 7.2kg Pro Race 6.7kg

Drive in drive out turbo conversion

tbf both graphs look good! One would give you more midrange due to the way its setup. For an inexpensive and effective road car setup that would be a great choice. The more linear one would be better on track and the one I'd go for because I prefer a linear curve. You could do that with either...

    suspension for minor track days

Koni yellows with cooksports gets my vote. Epic handling.

    New rims?!

This is how it sits on the existing Pro Race 1.2s. I've only had them 6 months and a friend has these hockenheims spare. Always had a soft spot for them. What are your opinions? Might look better 'shopped properly with the same wheels front and back with tyres but my MS Paint skills don't...

Cooksport springs and Cup shocks VS Coilovers for a daily driver advice?

It's ok, I see what you mean :) It was astounding that on the road it felt more compliant but on track there was noticbly less roll. Of course being able to tweak the damping helps with that. I suppose if you consider the cost of Cooksports + Konis you could get Konigsport coilovers for the...

Cooksport springs and Cup shocks VS Coilovers for a daily driver advice?

They were new ones. I didn't say the ride on the cup shocks was bad, far from it. The ride on the Konis is just better. Yes, the damping adjustment is useful. All I'm lacking is height adjustment which would be nice to lower the front a bit more and raise the back a tad.

Cooksport springs and Cup shocks VS Coilovers for a daily driver advice?

I went from cooksports with new top mounts and cup shocks to cooksports with Koni yellow adjustable shocks and solid top mounts. The improvement in ride was astounding.

I'm a big fan of vvt, when its continuously variable anyway. You could run a gen90 ecu, plug n play :)

    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

Took it for a long drive this weekend, loving the itbs! Needs a new throttle cable though. Gave it a wash and then moved the wife's garden lights around a bit for a nighttime shot. This evening I fitted some Magnat xcentric components up front and FLI coaxs in the rear. Tunes + itbs makes for...

Carbs advice needed, cheap power to pound value??

Dan is cheaper than Bogg brothers, he also makes velocity stacks for them. You can get a good set zx6(38mm butterfly) or zx9(40mm butterfly) carbs for around £40. A manifold is £140 from Dan. Filters are £30. Megajolt is around £180 and if you want a loom making I know someone who does them in...

10mm or 15mm spacers with Sportline springs?

1 degree of camber is roughly 1mm at the hub flange. But I don't think it's quite 5mm at the tyre. It's more like 2.5-3mm. Also I wouldn't run more than 2 degrees really. You might find one side is different to the other too so you may not want to fit camber spacers but get flat ones with...

Carbs advice needed, cheap power to pound value??

I'd get Dan at danstengineering to make a manifold and run kwak ZX9 carbs with a TPS. I ran ZX6 carbs on my last car and they were great. Easy to start, but you need a manual choke. Very economical and gave good power and torque. They use vacuum for the sliders so they drive much better than...

10mm or 15mm spacers with Sportline springs?

It depends on what profile tyres you run, 195 or 205. 195 you can do 15mm but 205 you need 10mm IMO. Also it depends how much camber you have already. Have you had it measured?

4-pot brakes stop a car faster?

You might find the 4 pots better on ice.

Carbs advice needed, cheap power to pound value??

You won't be able to mot it. But if it's track only and you're going to trailer it that's fine. You'll need a different fuel pump, megajolt or nodiz ecu, and some 45s (either Dellorto dhla or Weber dcoe) along with a manifold, linkage etc.

4-pot brakes stop a car faster?

I said generally. Because generally a 6 pit calliper will have a greater pad area than a 4 pot. Not always, but in general.
  28. Grandpa Joe

4-pot brakes stop a car faster?

More pistons generally means a greater pad area. Then you're onto what compounds to use... So if the 4 pots and single pot callipers have the same pad area and compound but the 4 pots are running bigger discs then dependant on the compound they could be equally s**t! You might find that the 4...
