    Still handling issues

Matching pzero's being fitted next weekend and a front / back swap. See how that feels

    Still handling issues

I'm going in this order- Tyres Front shocks Rear shocks If by the end of that it's not solved I will torch it.

    Still handling issues

I think I will try and find somewhere with some pzero nero's to match the front, these acelera's get horrendous reviews. If I can't find any locally is there much harm in getting a pair of proxies or something? Used to have them and quite liked them

    Still handling issues

Yeah it would but it's more that it feels like when you get a supermarket trolley with one wheel that's not in contact with the ground.

    Still handling issues

No the pirelli have been on the front for 8-9 months, budgets are recent. Basically it pulls badly on surfaces it never used to and yes it understeers through corners requiring additional input, the rear doesnt step out no. Funny you should mention supermarkets because a trolley is what it feels...

    Still handling issues

It appears to have crept up on me but then I've thought about it so much and done things like new wishbones etc that Ive lost track of it. I'm tempted to do swap tyres front to rear aspect if it's the budgets that should alter the behaviour pointing to it being them. Still think at nearly 80k...

    Still handling issues

Totally agree with you but tyres, shocks and belts time all at once!

    Still handling issues

I've had my 182 5 years now and I've never hated it so much. What to do then? I suppose new front shocks could be considered due anyway so I could start there rather than replace new rear tyres.

    Still handling issues

Yes I've checked tyre pressures a few times, alls fine there. I was thinking of doing a front to back swap to see what difference it made. One thing I haven't mentioned is that I also get a bouncy sensation but not as basic as when one of my rear shocks went, that was horrendous

    Still handling issues

My front shocks are on 79k so probably shot

    Still handling issues

Are my settings ok then? Can it really be just my cheapo rear tyres?
  12. DomP182

    Still handling issues

Wish I'd never bought those acelera's, real false economy and now I have to shell out on 2 more pzero's
  13. DomP182

    Still handling issues

I have cup pack anthracite 182 alloys, what sort of behavior did you get from your acelera's? I wonder if they have really soft sidewalls causing roll through corners?
  14. DomP182

    Still handling issues

Totally standard cup packed 182 except for rusty Eibach springs
  15. DomP182

    Still handling issues

Yeah my 182. Did my photo of my alignment work? Can't see it on my phone. All that info is lost on me tbh. As is some of the alignment printout, it doesn't suggest what was before/after or ideal readings
  16. DomP182

    Still handling issues

Ok so I put the crap tyres on which I now realise was false economy because at the time I wasn't exactly flushed with cash. My bad

    Still handling issues

Will do tomorrow when I go to my car.
  18. DomP182

    Still handling issues

Had the alignment done on a 4 wheel hunter thingy. The fronts are p zero nero but the backs are acelera (don't ask) it feels like the front wants to carry on rather than turn in
  19. DomP182

    Still handling issues

I've changed so much on my front end but still got some unnerving handling at times. I've personally replaced- Rack bushes Wishbones Inner track rod ends Outer track rod ends Topmount bearings On the rear I've had new shocks circa 20k ago. Unless the rears are shot again (can't see any...

    182 to transporter

How nippy will a 140bhp transporter be still over 12 sec to 60 surely
  21. DomP182

    New wishbones

One thing I forgot to mention was that my arb seems to be pushed over to the passenger side slightly more than the driver side. With both fronts off the ground it nearly touches the subframe on the driver side? Tried knocking it back over which improved it a bit as the one bush clamp wouldn't...

    New wishbones

I've used a random shouldered bolt I had lying around but had to washer it to stay on the thread, not ideal but temporary. Tracking was out before and seems worse now
  23. DomP182

    New wishbones

Done my wishbones today, pretty rusted up so it was a nightmare and ruined a ball joint pinch bolt. Do I need to get 4 wheel alignment done or is regular alignment acceptable? Also anyone got a spare ball joint pinch bolt they want to sell me?
  24. DomP182

What have you done to your car today ???

Should have replaced my wishbones that have sat in the garage for a month to try and get to the bottom of my sudden shocking handling
  25. DomP182

    182 to transporter

    Medium/small van suggestions?
  26. DomP182

    182 to transporter

I wonder if I could get by with a smaller van, caddy or similar, bit more performance and if I could get the crew van type I could get my kids in
  27. DomP182

    182 to transporter

Think I've asked this before but has anyone ever gone from a 182 to vw transporter 102bhp? I know it will be horrible but I really need a van and would like some positive feedback, 0-60 in 18 seconds suppose it can be remapped for a bit more power and when up and running may not be too bad.

    Ball joints or whole wishbone

Cheers guys you've beaten the cheap skate out of me! full wishbone it is
  29. DomP182

    Ball joints or whole wishbone

Thanks for confirming that, I searched on here and that's the conclusion I came to. If I go cheap where can I get the correct ball joints ideally Renault, lemforder or good quality?
