Don't want to discount the obvious daftness of the question, but it would be possible.
Ambient temperature in the boot would be say 10°C? In the engine bay this would be nearer 80°C. You just need to find an amplifier that can handle the higher ambient temperature. The components inside the...
bloody hell! How old are you? I only pay 590!
Is that insurance or for the conversion. That would be a cheap conversion, the turbo, intercooler/chargcooler, injectors, turbo manifold, downpipe etc, would be nearly 3000 alone
18 hp increase is about 13kw. I really can't see the power steering and air con using that much power.
must be a combination of things and slight error on the dyno.
If the ecu is mapped by any half decent tuner then you shouldnt get any problems with reliability. More frequent oil changes would be a good idea to keep everything running smoothly.
no, I should have got my camera out when the hose went.lol. The car was a little warm from my 1 mile drive home from work as I went on a 10 mile detour.:o
At least I know where the coolant smell was coming from now.
Tried my local auto factors with no luck, anyone know where I can get some hose and inline hose joiner asap?
It needs to be extremely high temperature as it goes into my turbo. The current one has deteriorated with the heat.
Is it easy to take the throttle body apart? I could get this done very easily once it is in pieces.
Bore out the body and fit a larger valve with knifedges. I think it would make a difference on the turbo if it has less restriction and therefore lowers the pressure drop.
Mine is from MB Engineering. I am beginning to like it, don't think that it will make gear changes quicker, just means less arm movement.;)
If you have money to burn get one, otherwise may as well stick with standard.
It was mapped to 250bhp before the engine was rebuilt, but will find out exact figures on saturday.
I think 300bhp would be easy to sort. The last 182 turbo I saw for sale was 300bhp+ with no signs of any water/alcohol injection, just a good remap and boost controller.
Try me (Obviously I want some cash too!). I don't need a car now as me and the girlfriend can walk to pretty much everywhere we need to get to.lol, but wouldn't mind a small car for Mr Justin Case.
Will be a sad day when this goes.:dapprove:
Well it's not looking too good, but all should be sorted. I am hoping it is something simple like a split hose, turbo leaking or the charge cooler leaking.
If not the garage have it now. Thanks for all the info.
